Die Cast Lighted 1/350th TOS Enterprise (TOMY crowd funded)

So Tomy contacted me to help with the lights and colors when they were putting together the replica. I sent them photos and diagrams on how I did my lights and what colors to use on the ship. The lighting initially put it was wrong(engine lights), and they wanted to copy my effect as close as possible. Here's some of what I sent them...

Awesome, yeah yours is pretty much perfect.:)

You will eventually get what you paid for. But since Tomy is going to have several hundred to resell it may take a bit of time.
Several hundred??? I’m interested in how you came up with that number. The sites I’ve been watching I’ve heard maybe a handful of cancellations.

You‘re nacelle lights are PERFECT MARK M3 !

Just as I suspected, it looks amazing. IMO this models value is going through the roof on the secondary market after it sells out.

Not to be a wet blanket…but someone is pulling a Garbo in that video and shooting in pretty low light conditions.;)

I would've gladly paid $600 for this and more as I'm sure it's worth much more.

For all the defenders, and I have no problems with defense of this product, this is the general MODEL BUILDING thread on the REPLICA PROP FORUM, lol. It may have had fewer “detractor’ in another thread. I am unsure of why it was never moved. That said, I expect to see it in threads describing mods, repaints etc etc.

True. But I wonder how many people cancelling are perfectionist modelers...???
If so I would think they would not have ordered it in the first place. Since they could do one perfect themselves.

I have built enterprises before when I was much younger. But I never lit one and never could do the weathering justice.

I think the weathering of the saucer section bothers me more than anything else LOL! I wish it were toned down a bit.
Same, mainly the repetition of parallel lines on the top front of the saucer. Beside that the overall weathering, the pencil lines, the tones look really good to me, especially for a mass produced piece.

Just from this forum alone there were more than a handful. And many of them had multiples too. Then counting the other forums and Facebook pages, and the many comments on YouTube videos, there’s far more than just a handful of units being cancelled. Especially, when you consider that many don’t comment on any of these platforms.

FOCUS PEOPLE. Who cares how many did this or that.

I need you all putting your brains to work solving these problems. (y) o_O  :D

First and foremost, my God please come up with a solution to that horrific saucer stand

Then I need a seam and hole filler that will work.

Then matching paint and ideas to only hit the areas filled. No new decals hopefully.

With any luck you will all have it solved by the time I get mine.

Thanks. Appreciate it.

A few probably are, but many aren’t too.

A lot are cancelling, just because they state that they were continuously misled. And it’s rubbing them the wrong way.

But oddly enough, I’m seeing a lot of comments were it’s not the seams, but the bases that are many customers reasons for cancelling.
