Die Cast Lighted 1/350th TOS Enterprise (TOMY crowd funded)

I read this like 8 times and still don't get it-- you found a 3rd junk tomy TOS you didn't know you had?

Sorry. This was a follow up to a previous post. I was boxing my TOS Enterprise to give to my buyer and could not find the third shuttle. Since they were so bad, when I got the ship I just set those aside. Today I only found two and thought that is all there was, then I saw in the directions there were three. Then I went through every drawer and parts spot looking for the third one, etc.

Finally found it. So he got all three shuttles, plus I still gave him a cool micromachines TOS shuttle that looks much better with the TOS Enterprise.

Why are you selling it?

Sold it. She is gone.

TOS Enterprise is not one of my favorites. I like it, but it would be after Refit, Excelsior, E, F, Reliant, Etc.

I bought it thinking it is likely the only one they will make, and I could at least have one 1/350 Enterprise model.

I also hoped if it was successful they would do the refit, and I would sell mine.

I did fall very much in love with it and decided to keep it, howere space, money, and current sale prices drove me to decide it was a good time to sell it. Timing was not good, and it sold for less than others went for very recently, but I still got nearly three times what I paid for it, and it helped out with some recent financial challenges like the dishwasher I have been fixing for three years finally dying.

Such as life.

If money ever changes I will reacquire one, but I am 53 and not in the best health. If I live to 80 I have only 27 years left. I need to trim and focus on my true loves.

Fair enough. I didn't ever expect them to do another one either after the TOS sold quite badly compared to what I expected for such a high quality piece. I'd consider selling mine if they do a D and Reliant, because space is very limited with such large ships. Also I think my wife would leave me if I displayed lots of them...

micro-machines did good work. i desperately miss my mid-sized micro-machines star wars fleet. that's cool they did a shuttle-- galileo, i presume? just one shuttle? do you remember what else it came with?

No, I kept the shuttle to go with my Lunar Excelsior from years ago. I have the rest somewhere, but no clue where.

Saw the new video of the refit which popped up on instagram. Just wanted to say how beautiful it looks (I ordered mine within the first couple of minutes of it going live)...BUT - why has the front sensor colour been changed to purple? It looks WAY better when it's blue. It shouldn't be the same purple as the inside facing sides of the nacelles should it?
I really hope that will be changed back to blue on the final production version.

I find it odd that they positioned the stand so far back on the secondary hull in this mockup version they're showing people. Every large model that has ever really existed has put the stand in the same place — right at the front behind the deflector, because that's closer to where the centre of gravity is. I know they've said they'll fix this, I'm just hoping that they don't "fix" it by simply making the vertical pole longer so it penetrates deeper into the hull. It needs to move forward.
