Die Cast Lighted 1/350th TOS Enterprise (TOMY crowd funded)

Hmm - I've noticed something concerning. The number of backers has started to go down. Twenty four seconds after ending, there were 2549 backers. Now, 16 minutes after ending, there are only 2527 backers.

Maybe they've started charging cards - and they are removing backers as they pay? Or perhaps some cards are being declined when payment is being requested, reducing the number of backers?

As I've written this, 7 more have disappeared in under two minutes. I certainly HOPE they are removing backers as they pay TOMY.
As I responded I believe as they charging and removing backers as they go. However I am sure some folks credit cards will be declined as they go along. No idea how they will respond to that. However these are pledges

I see a pending charge for one order, which I made very early, not seeing the second yet which I made the other day.
Both mine where charged at the same time. Also I ordered both at the same time. However I believe they are taking em one at at time and that charge will eventually show up.

Well my Chase card thought it was fraud and declined it. :( The link Tomy sent me to fix it didn't work so all I could do was log in to my account and add another card and make it the default.. Guess I try to contact them in the morning. Shows I only ordered one now when I log into my account, the first one. Weird.

I strongly suggest calling them as the best way forward
 
I can’t get into my TOMY account. I’m positive I’m using the correct email/password. I’ve clicked the forgot password button several times and it says they sent me a reset email, but I never get one.

How do you log in to see your order? I ordered 2 and so far, charged for both. When I log in at Tomy it says I haven't ordered anything from them. I'm concerned. I guess I should give them a call.

Edit: Never mind, I was logging into the wrong place. All is good.:)

It is now 8+ hrs since the campaign ended and the number seems to have stopped reducing at 2274 ($1,565,189.00). I know my orders were charged an hr+ after the the campaign ended. And they were about in the middle of the number of backers. So I have to imagine they have attempted to charge all of the orders by now (probably finished after a couple hours or so).

Has anyone here who placed an order not yet had their card attempted to be charged?

Mine was charged hours ago ! With the original numbers that's a lot of declined payments ! Over $200,000.00 from the previous post indicating over $800,000.00 .

I believe you means $1,800,000 ie the original "raised" total?

And $200,000 is just over 10% of declined charges. I would suspect that's within an average range for declines during a kickstarter-style funding campaign. And, as we proceed through the week and people resolve their CC problems, I expect that percentage to be reduced even further (though I imagine there will still be some percentage who choose not to allow their cards to be charged - ie who renege on their pledge).

I see the pending charge for my two. I bought an extra just to resell later as I see no way to get hurt on it. I fully expect future releases of other designs to be more expensive.

I will say someone doing 12" lit diecast models would find a bigger audience, especially if usb powered so could remotely turn on/off a display cabinet full.
 
Just talked to representative and they said people with CC problems will be notified through email. If you didn’t get an email then you’re 100% good to go! Hopefully people didn’t back out and deny charges. Hopefully the problems were just with the CC companies.
 
I got an email last night but the link to try again didn’t work. So waiting for now to see if I get more info today.
 
Alright I'm back from comic-con and so happy this went through! Wooooooooo!

Having a bit of bother with my order. At first I ordered just one. Later on I decided I wanted to upgrade my tier to two, so I asked support if they could revise my order, or what the right way for me to do that would be (I'm wondering, can I just reselect the next tier?).
They told me that my existing pledge could not be changed, so I would need to place an additional order.

Okay, weird, but I followed their instruction and placed another pledge for x1, ideally creating two orders on my account. But now my account only shows the most recent order, like this one replaced the old order....with an identical one. I go back to support and say, hey, that seems to have simply revised my existing pledge (as I expected), are you sure I don't need to select the higher tier and do it that way?

They get back to me and say yes we do show both orders in our system, don't worry about it.

But my account still only shows the one recent order. And now the order window is closed. And my card has been charged...for one order. (Apparently I might have been better off not listening to support) I sent them another email with a screenshot of my account saying...hey...can you fix this? You're telling me I have two, yet my account (and my credit card!) both only show evidence for one.

No response yet but hoping they can work that out. ‍

Yeah I’m still not paid up yet. No afternoon email so I sent an email saying I bought two and please charge either card I have on file for two. I’ll call again tomorrow if nothing happens there. Account only shows I committed to one. System is jacked.
 
I think they were probably busy today dealing with lots of payment issues. I needed them to fix an issue in my order last Friday and it took a while.

Did you get a "Hooray! Your Prestige Select Campaign Pledge Was Confirmed" email for each of your pledges? I ask because at the bottom of each should be a "Contribution Transaction ID". If you did get one for each of your pledges, then you should be able to identify for TOMY the particular IDs for your orders. And, when compared to your account, you can identify which of your orders doesn't seem to have been processed by your cc company yet. That might help clear up the issue for them.
