I mean, if the saucer starts to sag one day, then one could always use the saucer stand to support it if necessary, right?

Then I assume the stand would help keep it in place.Sure you could; but if it’s already starting to sag……..
They are supported by a metal internal structure. You must be thinking about the POS unobtainium model. The MR Enterprises don't sag.I've heard MR Enterprise nacelles and saucer sag after all those years. It's gonna happen eventually. I guess everyone should do their best to postpone the inevitable. It really is no big deal using the saucer support stand every once in awhile.
Exactly. My MR Enterprise is as perfect as the day I got it. No sags, all electronics still work perfectly too. Kept in a very regular temperature, no direct sun or excess heat or humidity ever. They are supported by a metal internal structure. You must be thinking about the POS unobtainium model. Mine as well.Exactly. My MR Enterprise is as perfect as the day I got it. No sags, all electronics still work perfectly too. Kept in a very regular temperature, no direct sun or excess heat or humidity ever.
Just heard from a facebook poster that his MR is sagging. Anecdotal I know but he’s not the only one I heard it from. Of course there’s the usual electronic failures that eventually happen as well too. They are supported by a metal internal structure. You must be thinking about the POS unobtainium model. Pics or it didn't happen. Vs. My cousin's sister brother heard it once on Facebook. The MR enterprises did have problems of seized up motors in the nacelles. However, these models. are about 20 years old so... Improper storage is a key factor as well. I present my non saggy model as documentation of non saggyness.Just heard from a facebook poster that his MR is sagging. Anecdotal I know but he’s not only one I heard it from.
Shockingly, some guys cancelled when it was revealed that the model would have visible screw plugs and seams. You probably got one of those. I think Tomy did a fantastic job on the replica and didn't even consider canceling. In fact, I got two.I wonder if they made more beyond the initial offering. I never even heard about this thing until a few weeks ago. I called a couple of weeks ago to see if they had any available for sale. They called me Tuesday offering me one, and it was delivered today.
My MR Enterprise has been in this display case for sixteen years and it's geometry still looks pretty close to the model in the NASM.I've heard MR Enterprise nacelles and saucer sag after all those years. It's gonna happen eventually....
First legit practical reason for saucer separation! That's great! Good that you can just swap out the saucer!

Wonder if I should do that with mine?So a few days ago...I asked if it was possible to get some touch up paint for the chip on my nacelle. They asked for a photo. They want me to ship back the lower hull....and send me a replacement....that's cool and all but should I do it???
