Die Cast Lighted 1/350th TOS Enterprise (TOMY crowd funded)

On a large mass produced diecast like this there are bound to be paint imperfections. It's unavoidable. Even most new cars have paint imperfections. Just the way it is. As for the shuttles. Yeah they are very weird. But easily thrown out and replaced. The shuttle bay seam is on all of them as well.
Yep even the Franklin mint shuttle from the 1990s had imperfections but it was one piece, the graphics were better and in my opinion the paint was better than 2023.

cancelling is only hurting yourselves TBH. this will be going for 2K once the feeding frenzy dies down on ebay. (right now it's at 1500). all those cancelled orders are a huge unintended gift to TOMY, thye can dole them out slowly on ebay (if they want) for the next couple years at triple the price point.

considering this costs, after inflation adjust, one third of the MR, it's fair to say ur still getting a helluva bang for your buck, especially if you just turn around and sell it for twice what you paid (bare minimum).

no point in making these guys miserable (tomy staff). if y'all make life hell for them and go after them like a crazed boomer beyonce beehive i think that just about dashes our hopes for a 1701-a refit, however faint that candle flickers.

(just joshin fellas, i know most'a'yooz are gen X [do millenials even GAF about TOS? it's literally sooooo problematic])

How did those Red Shirts get out their without space suits and also shouldn't they have just floated away ?

I knew you were going to ask. It appears they weren't so smart, leaving the shuttle without a space suit. However, their uniforms were made of a magnetic material which seems to have worked well. It was designed for exactly this kind of circumstance.

I wonder if anyone now regrets cancelling their orders?
It's bittersweet. I ordered two and ended up cancelling both. I know I could have sold one on Ebay and got mine for free but I just couldn't stomach the way Tomy handled the whole process. For me, it is a matter of ethics and what they did was unethical. Sure, I could rationalize why the ship is still worth it but why should I? I agreed to pay $599 for each ship. If I lost my job and could only pay $500, would they still have sent it to me? The answer is no. Likewise, Tomy should not charge full price when they failed to produce what they promised for $599. Heck, if they had offered a partial refund of $99 for a total cost of $500 to make up for all the issues, I would have kept mine. Instead, all we got after giving them our money a year ago was an ultimatum: take it at full price or get nothing but your money back after a year of waiting. Anyway, enough ranting. I'm glad that most people seem to be happy with theirs. I'm a little sad that I don't have one but who know what will be available in the future?

Nobodies asking you too. I warp returned there was no impulse about it. TBH folks settled vs. what was promised. However, MANY warts and all it fills a void if you don't have anything better in this scale. I did/do so it was a pretty easy decision.
I agree. If there had been a little more solidarity among the backers, we may have been able to force Tomy's hand.

You agreed to the terms. They said up front the product could change without notice.
