Agreed. TOMY said they’d start shipping the 6th and you’ll get a notice when yours does. Just because nobody here has received notice yet, doesn’t mean they are being deceitful, hiding “bigger problems than we know”, or the cargo ship has been intercepted by “pirates“ (ha ha ha!).
Only, you know, the compete lack of people who have a shipping notice, even early backers, does seem to indicate a problem, doesn't it? You keep suggesting there isn't a problem, but provide no reasonable explanation as to how that could be the case.
We have multiple people posting here from the small group in Australia that got theirs - a month ago - when they shouldn't have. That is not according to plan, so SOMETHING happened outside of what we were told. Saying this is sold only in North America and then shipping directly to buyers in Australia at least has the appearance of being deceitful, doesn't it? Direct questions have been asked as to why that occurred and TOMY declined to comment. And if that small smattering of Australians is represented here, it is statistically unlikely that shipping began on the 6th in North America where there is a much larger population of buyers, and yet somehow it magically has missed everyone present on this forum, AND in the FB forum you referenced. Based on Tomy North American sales this facility likely fullfills of thousands of orders a day, and probably 10s of thousands during the Christmas season. Its is very likely that shipping did not commence on the 6th, on the 9th or on the 12th as your posts would suggest, and responses from TOMY support have corroborated that shipping has not begun. The idea that they can physically ship only a few items a day, or don't know how long it takes to pick and ship an item known to be in the warehouse inventory , or gave us a ship date unrelated to these factors, is simply not realistic, and very unlikely. If things are not going according to the communicated plan, is it logical to assume there must be a problem of some sort preventing the execution of the plan, or the plan would have been followed, correct? At the very least we can say with certainty that there is a problem in the communication of accurate information to customers - communication which is nearly cost free to TOMY. Since good communication is a staple of good business, and TOMY didn't get to be the size it is by not following good business practices, is likely they are dealing with such unpredictable unknown that they are unwilling to, or simply cannot, provide a new estimated ship date. And every day that passes simply makes that explanation more likely. Though I admit there are other explanations- none of them good : For instance they may simply not care about reputation with this crowd and future business or they are just bizarrely incompetent and didn't even think about how they were going to ship these out till the 6th, didn't have any process for the warehouse, are using a process other than the normal warehouse process, are still trying to secure a contract or negotiate a process with a shipper and so forth, and then communiated a Oct 6th ship date in spite of these unknowns.
