Dexter's Kill Bag and Tools

I don't want to get all mushy on everyone but thanks a lot for all the hard work on this Kill Knife research. I don't have the computer skills or brains to figure that out.

Those were done with the overall length 13 inches, with 1/8" for the blade and 3/16 for the handles. I used the counter sunk socket head cap screw I linked to earlier for the holes. I don't have the equipment set up just yet, but I should be able to produce these by mid march.

I just noticed I need to remove the fillet's on the back end of the handle. It's not a big deal to change it if we decide it should be 13.25 or whatever, but right now I can fit 2 blades onto a 24" piece of stainless without much waste. I don't think I would be able to do that if I stretched the blade.

Looks good Drew. I still don't think that overhang in the front is like that. Also I think the back of the handle is straight and not curved.

There is one thing that still urks me though...

How tall is Mr Hall? Cause my handle is way to short to reproduce this shot. I'm exactly 6 feet tall.

That knife actually might not be "the" Kill Knife. That might be the retractable one right before the actual stab. Hard to tell.

Although the average hand width is about 4" so the handle could still be about 6.5"?

I see. Yeah that is a stunt knife, look at the inner area between the slabs/handles.

The handle is exactly 6.338 inches on the 12.844

Waiting to see how everyone feels about it. Then I'll break it down and upload it.

The handle slabs look at least 1/4". The blade width looks 3/16". I k now the bottom image is the handle stunt plate version.

3/16 is way to thick though, It's pretty thick for the baseplate knife. I would say that one is 3/16, and most likely so theres enough area across the metal to secure it to the plate with a thick screw. Where is the link to that youtube video. I watched it, but I lost the link. I need to watch that again.

Yeah, that's probably the retractable knife.

I did a few grabs and got these. I would say maybe 10/16" total thickness??

I think you're right too. I just threw that together from a version I had started on a while back. If the bottom 2 edges of the handle line up, it would be possible to cut this out of 1.5" stainless, so it would be cheaper. I'll be happy to work something up again, just someone let me know when we come to a consensus on the design.

Nope. Those have the right look, but are not the correct leather, and do not come in numbered sizes, so they might not fit as well. They are probably the same pattern, however.

I hope you have big hands if you want the real deal, since they've been discontinued for about a year now.

Damascus D301 (smooth back):
I only recall seeing these in all but the last episode of Season 1.
Damascus D301 Ultrathin™ Leather Gloves (No Points)

The now discontinued D301 has been copied by what I'm guessing is the leatherglovesonline house brand.
Tough Gloves Ultra™ Thin Cabretta unlined leather gloves (no points)

Damascus D302 (points on back):
Predominantly seen throughout the rest of the series.
Damascus D302 Ultrathin™ Cabretta unlined leather gloves

And again, the leatherglovesonline version.
Tough Gloves Ultra™ Thin Cabretta unlined leather gloves

Apparently, leatherglovesonline was the original supplier to production as well.
