Dexter Season 1 Ice Truck Killer Doll

Definitely not the correct body - it has joints at the knees and elbows. The correct doll (has no elbow or knee joints).

If everybody will forgive me, as I just finally started watching Dexter, and just skimmed over this thread. Just like everyone else, I want one of these dolls, I went to the companies website and found this.
Integrity Toys, Inc. :: Gene Marshall :: Violet Waters (AA) Replacement Body

Is this at least the BODY we are looking for? If so....maybe a group buy?

If he was reading the thread, he would realize that I manufacture the dolls and he can BUY one from me if interested. I have 37 dolls that I have made and currently have 3 he can purchase. They are perfect.

I know that you keep posting about your dolls, but if he was reading the thread he would also realise that you do not use the correct doll to make your displays (everyone here appears to be after the CORRECT doll). The doll you use is clearly not the Alysa Fashion Fling doll used in Dexter - yours has the wrong wrists, hip joints and most importantly, head.

Agreed 100% - I don't think anyone is looking for generic doll pieces in Dexter themed shadow box. They are looking for the correct doll.

Completely true, Howlrunner. HOWEVER if you read this thread I have already mentioned that. GOOD LUCK trying to find a 2004 Alysa Janay & Friends doll. My doll is based on the same body, slightly paler, from Integrity dolls 2010. The hair is more orange. I also made these dolls after I read the book. I actually have (3) Alysa's and I will not part with them unless someone wants to pay a high price. So, if you want an AFFORDABLE Ice Truck Killer Doll, I can make it. If you want the actual doll used, GREAT- it will run over $300. The actual doll only sold for $9.99 and are VERY VERY hard to find. I have spoken with people that actually work on Dexter. They say that my doll is very close to the original and what a great job I did trying to replicate it. Look at the screen captures on this thread, my doll's face actually matches theirs EXCEPT it is paler. I truly understand where you are coming from. I would make molds of the original doll BUT you can't if you are selling them w/o licensing agreement from Integrity Toys AND Showtime. I really am not trying to argue with you guys. You seem very cool. I won't post anymore about the dolls. I just wanted to make an AFFORDABLE version.

I don't want to stir up a poop storm but I think holding 3 dolls hostage for over $300 a pop is a real $@&%! up thing to do. It's like you're keeping them so people will buy YOUR dolls. I recently got lucky thanks to Pitbull. He found me someone who had THE doll for $135usd. You could really be helping two people get the correct doll and keep one for yourself. I know our own Pinder91 wants one badly but you having 3 and charging well over $300 is wrong of you IMO. People are a part of this community to stay away from the price hikers and help each other out, like Pitbull did for me.
On the other hand, your shadow boxes and mirrors are very nice. You could make a nice penny selling them alone I think. I know I'd be interested in both of them if you did.

The $300 was for the CORRECT DOLL in a DISPLAY CASE.

You just payed $135 for a doll?

So what do you think the hand made mirror, custom graphics (laminated) and the labor to put it all together with the correct ribbon and hand painted fingernails + mounting is worth?

Then, he tells me to make a pretty penny just off of the boxes and pink mirrors totally contradicting himself.

POOP STORM is right. Please don't post things like that.

That way, nobody else has to read this nonsense.

Sorry ladies and gentlemen, Dark Passenger has flown over the cuckoo's nest.

Can we just continue a really COOL thread with possible solutions to ALL OF OUR DILEMMAS trying to re-create such an awesome prop????

Thank You all and have a nice day.

Read the bold tronguy

The $300 was for the CORRECT DOLL in a DISPLAY CASE.

That's correct he payed $135 NOT $300 what YOU were implying JUST FOR THE DOLL

Here's what you wrote

"If you want the actual doll used, GREAT- it will run over $300"

Let's not get things twisted here NO WHERE in your post did you say the shadow box and everything you make was included

So what do you think the hand made mirror, custom graphics (laminated) and the labor to put it all together with the correct ribbon and hand painted fingernails + mounting is worth?

You must be kidding that's all nickel and dime stuff man FOR REAL?.I can go to michael's and do one up for less than $20 PLEASE don't try me :lol

Then, he tells me to make a pretty penny just off of the boxes and pink mirrors totally contradicting himself.

Dude I think YOU flew off the cuckoo's nest :wacko

POOP STORM is right. Please don't post things like that.

btw TheTronGuy over here on therpf we like to look out for one another ya know HELPING each other out in time of need especially when looking for something. No one is telling you to sell your "ACCURATE" dolls for pennies all tom was trying to say was that numerous people including himself are looking for this doll and when you come on here ranting on how you have three dolls and won't let one go for over $300 cause of how rare they are it automatically leaves a bad taste in people's mouths about you.

Were all friends here TheTronguy and if you want to continue bad mouthing people calling people crazy than that is not a good start dude.

Remember opinions are like ***holes we all have one.

Pitbull pretty much covered my points TronGuy. You did NOT say the correct doll came with a shadow box. So ribbon, painting nails, a $20 shadow box, mounting (are you hanging it on my wall too?), and graphics are worth $165? LOL @ YOU. So you're selling an incorrect doll in a display for $250 and THE doll for $300?? I think I detect a back step.

I think you're having an online meltdown dude. Calm down. I was just kind of ticked off seeing you have 3 of the dolls everyone in this thread is looking for, but said they would be over $300 a pop. It may have come out wrong, but judging by your demeanor and attitude so far, I doubt it.

You really shouldn't be here if you're looking for a place to hock your dolls, although you're welcome to go anywhere you'd like. We are all here to help each other out. Most of your posts are in this thread and promoting your "accurate" dolls. Would you have even signed up here at TheRPF if it wasn't for this thread? Doubtful.

I actually became a member of the R.P.F. to build TRON discs. This thread MADE me want to make the dolls, so I did. It's not like my name is "Dark Passenger" and I only want DEXTER stuff. I have a gigantic movie prop collection and wanted to add the ICE TRUCK KILLER DOLL to all of my OTHER DEXTER props. You BOTH need to leave me alone. I'm growing very tired of your accusations and NEGATIVE input. I'm sure most people would agree with this. MOVE ON GUYS - It's NOT worth it.

FYI - If I can find (3) dolls in less than a month, WHY CAN"T YOU????

THANK YOU ALL and HAVE A NICE DAY!

FYI - If I can find (3) dolls in less than a month, WHY CAN"T YOU????

Did you pay $300 a piece for them?

I think what everyone's getting at is that this board, especially with the more seasoned members, there's a sense of community, discovery, and cooperation that some people just don't seem to understand when they've only been here a couple of months.

If someone here were to make a discovery of a found item and I were to find a stash of said found item that a lot of people wanted, I'd let them know I found it, gauge interest, secure one for myself and make sure my friends all got one for the same price. Or I'd divide the cost up evenly That's because the members are all on the same "team" and are all working together for a common interest. One guy discovered it, lots of people researched it, I located some purchased them and divided them up. everyone's happy.

What I wouldn't do is pick up on someone else's discovery, buy several on my own and then try to sell them back to the RPF at a profit. It just comes across as you only being here to make money off of someone else's discovery that they shared with a group of similarly interested people to help them find one. Especially since you've only been here a short while and haven't done much to establish a reputation.

The doll becoming rare has nothing to do with marking the price up. I'm sure there are tons of other discontinued barbie dolls that are still available for $8. This one just happened to be used in Dexter. Who would want one? Pretty much only the people in this thread. That's why the markup in price has left a bad taste in people's mouth about you.

Please don't take this as beating up on you, it's just some advice to a new member. You're more than welcome to do whatever you like, just understand you may not get the response you're looking for.

I am here to declare my love for Pitbull. He doesn't even have the doll himself but he selflessly told me about it and let me get it instead. THANK YOU PITBULL.
