Dexter Morgan cargo pants

You got the right ones, the diagram is just flipped. And you got them $10 cheaper than any of the places I found them, so good job there.
 
It's much harder to find laces for the boots than I had expected. I tried to dye mine darker to match the seal brown version, but they didn't quite make it, and in the process they lost their wax treatment and got 1/8" wider and 6" shorter. The laces appear to be a grey color on the SU boots on account of that wax treatment, so to compensate for that I'm probably just going to get some charcoal colored laces, the problem is finding them. The correct color is available for cheap on Amazon (although the shipping is 3x the item price), but they're flat laces, not the high quality flat tubular ones. I might just consider that a lost cause. Are there any chain stores that stock a really wide selection of laces? Paying $6 for shipping doesn't sound like a great deal, and the usual stores don't even have any laces the correct length. (72")
 
Well the problem is that the laces match the color of the boot leather. I had to dye my mocha bisque boots to match the discontinued seal brown ones that were used on the show. Dying the laces wasn't totally effective and also stripped the wax finish off the laces, so now the color is all wrong. I found a store here in Long Beach that supposedly sells just shoe laces, so I'm going to check that out today. Also, I'm posting a couple pictures of the boots in my thread, I'm hoping it'll put the boot color question to rest.
 
Just got the 511 pants in. The belt on the back pocket is the same color as the pants. Maybe the prop department altered the color a bit? Any ideas how to dye it?

Here's the fun part. If they're using the new "army" color henleys available from AA (browner, and I think this is what they're using) then the pants ARE Olive green. However, if they're using the older henleys from a year ago or so (greener), then the pants are most likely the "tundra" color. I won't know for certain until I get my pair, but it looks like I may need to invest in a new henley.

Also, I need to apologize to Zombie_61 for pushing the boot color issue the way I did. I still stand by my statement that all of the Season 1-4 boots were seal brown, but it looks like the season 5 boots are in fact mocha bisque. It looks like the same deal as the henleys. The colors that were available changed, and they just went with it. I still think they're a really ugly yellow color, though. :rolleyes

I have a newer Henley shirt, I guess I am good with the Olive Green pants then. It makes sense that in Season 5 they're using newer Henleys. They probably go through a lot every season.
 
If you can give me a time stamp for the screen grab I'll put it up in HD. I caught a lot of glimpses of it though, the one I posted was just the only one I felt was good enough to grab. It looked the same color in all of those shots, though.

I am very convinced the color is Tundra. The Olive Green pants are way too green. In Episode 11, when Dexter leaves the van after killing someone, you can see the pants in daylight. A screen grab there would be nice if you can.
 
I don't have that one in HD, but here's a grab I color corrected to get rid of that pink tint.

It does look like tundra. Hopefully I'll get the OD pants soon....... and hopefully they're returnable. :confused
 
I just won another pair of the G-Star's on ebay. This time in Olive. Although, they are a 1 inch smaller waist than I wear.
If I can match the fabric I may be able to offer a very limited run of replicas. We'll see when they arrive.
 
Is there a chance that the correct color is actually the ones up for sale right now in 33/32? Those ones look closer to the tundra color as well and after watching the episode with Dexter chasing Trinity around before he kills that guy with the hemmer, they seem to be tundra colored and a thicker material.
