Hey! I've been cosplaying for a couple of years now (both a mixture of purchased and made costumes) and finally decided to join RPF. I've been a massive fan of The Walking Dead since 2012 and have done a couple of cosplays from the show and comic (including my profile pic of The Governor). I had read the comics before but Jeffrey Dean Morgan's portrayal made me NEED to cosplay as him. He does such a great job at playing such a sadistic psycho. The costume I've opted for is the classic comic book version as I'm completely clean shaven and will take me an insanely long time to grow a beard. The first item for my cosplay project is the "vampire bat", Lucille. After pondering on whether I would replicate the bat myself I decided to opt for McFarlane toys prop replica (pictured below).
It is an amazing replica which captures the look and feel of it fantastically and most surprisingly, it is actually quite heavy for something made of plastic.
This project will take about a month or so as I need to have some of the clothing shipped from overseas such as the leather jacket, but I will update on my project throughout it's creation. Below are some links to the suppliers of the clothing that I will be using in my build:
