Re: Iron Man WIP

Thanks, they are great pep files to start with so thank you fro taking the time to do em up and share them. I just wish you had the time to do the rest of the suit, it would have been stellar. (y)cool

Don't worry I will be finishing the suit, it's all just a matter of time :)

Re: Iron Man WIP

We need to get together over a beer so i can see this stuff in real time. Looks amazing!

Re: Iron Man WIP

wow I'm really loving the time and care you put into the finishing sanding and overall smoothness of your iron man armor. you truly an ironman fan going that far with the level of detail! Look so sleek, i love it! Great job!

Re: Iron Man WIP

"Thanks, I what I do for a living so working with filler, primer etc is a daily thing. If I wasn't good at it I wouldn't have a job any more."

A ha ! That's the culprit. I see a lot of this pepkura stuff but have rarely seen individuals being able to "finish" the piece. Your work is a synthesis of that art and being able to finish the piece quite well ! I am very much looking forward to your other pieces !!

Re: Iron Man WIP

Thanks again guys, really great of you all to say.
I haven't had that much time on this since that last update, work and house renos are keeping me pretty busy but here's a few pics what I got done. Mostly just pep and a little resin/glass on the back flaps. I have been working on the helmet a bit as well, trying to find room for the servos. Not sure if they are going to fit or if I'll even continue on the flip face it's not going as well as the rest. Enjoy the pics. :)

Re: Iron Man WIP

this is too awesome,

so the set scale for the arms fit you alright?

Thanks, yeah they seem ok. A little large around but "just" long enough, cursed long skinny arms.:lol I think once they have the glass in em and a bit of foam they will fit pretty nice, and they look proper with the rest I think anyway.

Re: Iron Man WIP

Dang it Fin!! There you go doing it again...lol.. Looks awesome. I was wondering what the files from dancing_fool looked like once they were pepped, and as always your armor just doesnt stop amazing....sigh...

Re: Iron Man WIP

:loveBLODY H***!
You really done good detailing on that! Love the flaps and layers!

Re: Iron Man WIP

That...is just crazy.

Yeah, you seem like a smoothing it out master. Really amazing job on the clean up and it soooo doesn't look like a pep piece at all any longer. Have you thought about unhinging the bottom of the jaw along with the face?

Re: Iron Man WIP

Remember when we were kids not that long ago and
strapping on an piece of black material, running and playing Batman?
or Superman.?
To us, it WAS the most accurate suit in the world.

Do not step on anyones work, unless they ask for bottom line opinions.
Do not, take away the Magic.
Do not take away the FUN this hobby is, and can be.
in this case, just think, this all started with a piece of paper!

Re: Iron Man WIP

So have you had to redo any piece because after resin it was to small?
Sorry if I took anything away from you on the other forum by describing how some of the paper stuff is made.

Re: Iron Man WIP

Wow. As an artist, a propmaker and a fan of suit, this reaches me on many levels. Simply unreal.
