I know what that's like Electraflier, with a 5 month old baby it's hard to find time to work on much of anything. I usually try to wake up an extra half hour before I would normally get up for work so I can get a little bit done everyday. Lately though it's been getting harder and harder to wake up lol. I definitely look forward to seeing more of your build!!

The thing I'm not sure of next is after I sand and prime it, what I should use as a replacement for spot filler. I'm thinking maybe just the straight up bits of wood filler but we'll see how it looks after sanding.

I tested this out on a piece of scrap first and it's quite flexible I was able to fold it right in half without any cracking.

Left shoulder done too...now onto the bicep

note:- the body is a rough one i made up quickly in stiffer foam as i haven't made a mannequin yet

Did someone have the complete file, which has all piece must be use in cutting EVA foam?
Because I find the File provider all provided the file ,that alway omitted one part of a repeated piece.
I alway look for the file and try to find the piece which part was omitted.
I follow the instructions to do the work. I want to do all iron man clothes in my school activity.
But I think, to find the omitted piece was so hard.

can anyone can give me the file had all piece must be use in cutting EVA foam??
(By A4? , because in my country everyone use the A4 size paper )

I used to have 2 layers of diluted glue followed by 2 layers of glue. Ceases happen.

I use only 4 layers of Glue now;
Every layer slightly
Thicker then the previous and creases are less likely to happen and the finish is nicer. Closer to plastic like.

Maybe using an anti rust primer which details "flexible coat" helps

Run while you still have money and your sanity LOL! Patience, then more patience.Ask lots of specific questions but try to find it first by reading lots of threads!
Use Dancin_fools pep files, they are deluxe!

All the files should be on page one of this thread mate. Stealth put them up there and to save on card he only put one side(left bicep, left shoulder etc) of the armour. Also some of the files only have one side of the piece...eg:- if you make a helmet with the files you u will only have half the helmet as you need to flip the left piece to make the right one.

He did this to also mean you only need to cut out one set of templates...thus saving time.

note:- always make sure you have the file open on your pepakura viewer so you know what pieces you have to flip

I understanded ,thanks. I will try it again.
I find some model's piece didn't Symmetry. The file only select one kind of piece.
And, can model rn to the back side in 3D mode in the Pepakura Designer?

just a question... could you resin over the foam to give it rigidity?

Foam is pretty flexible so the resin would crack when it starts to move. Some people have experimented with different kinds of coating like glue mixes and stuff I believe.

I'd imagine you could use like an epoxy resin, I've found that stuff to have quite a bit of flex to it. I think you'd have to seal the foam first though to keep the resin from eating the foam.

Yeah i'm at the stage where i want to coat a piece to make it more rigid. Just ordered some Plasti dip spray to test on a scrap piece to see the finish.

Quick question....does the hand plate attach to the hand? or to the forearm? or doesn't it matter?.....also think i missed the file with the hand plate on...not sure

I used the 5-mm EVA foam in bady.
But, how much width should I used in finger? 5-mm or 3-mm ?

I'm at the hand stage too mate, i already made 2 pieces out of different foam and they still both seemed too thick, so i'd suggest going for the 3mm...i took a look online and will probably get some of this thin foam from Amazon, and hopefully they should come out more to my liking
