Re: Robo3687's IRON MAN Mark 4/6 Pepakura FOAM Templates -Easy to Build "Green" Versi

Hey stealth, also looking forward to the next video. Is pva glue waterproof? I mean if it rains, is the weather goin to have a dramatic effect on the build?... and can u use the glue to smooth out rough edges?

Clips added to allow the chest and Back to be removed/attached easily. Shoulders done and also the right bicep. So far so good :)

Has anyone released the collar files?

Hi Stealth,
I haven't seen the collar pieces amongst your posts. I've been able to make my own, but as I don't have Pepakura Designer I can't share what I've done.

They're not necessarily required but they do make it easier to attached the top of the back to the top of the front.

Re: Robo3687's IRON MAN Mark 4/6 Pepakura FOAM Templates -Easy to Build "Green" Versi

This is great stuff and more or less planning my first IM EVA foam build. Thanks Stealth and all those involved for sharing. As of today I bought these anti-fatigue floor mats from Harbor Freight Tool’s here in the US and they measure about 10-11mm in thickness. From what I’ve read, there have been builders using different thickness for building from the neck down to shoes anywhere between 2, 4 and 6mm foam and it’s getting hard to figure out which to use for any part. So far, I understand that the helmet should be pepped in standard card stock to keep details crisp as Stealth advises. So 2 questions, can we get a clear breakdown as to what EVA thickness should be used for each body part (would be helpful) and are the 10-11mm foam’s I just bought of any use at all?

I had some collar plates laying around that I had done in resin/fiberglass... In the end, I ended up just making my own. The pep file version isn't as accurate to the movie as if you were to just make your own. Here's mine as an example.

Here they are colored in photoshop for a better visual.

I'd use the 10mm for the chest and back. this is what I plan on doing when I do my war machine, everything else in 6mm

Re: Robo3687's IRON MAN Mark 4/6 Pepakura FOAM Templates -Easy to Build "Green" Versi

Hi guys! My name is Vincent. Im new here, but im semi-not new to foam building. I have built a Halo 3 Recon helmet out of Foamies on the 405th.com :)
so being used to halo armor making, i gotten used to tabs. I watched stealth's video about foam armor making and he instructed not to use tabs, but cut the edges at a 90 degree angle and glue

How can i do this when making the iron man helmet with thin foamies? id imagine it would be pretty hard ;) or should i do this with tabs?

sorry for the noob-ishness
