Death Star Turbolaser diorama

Yeah, I have to admit -- this is pretty inspiring, and almost makes it feel like cheating to have the original kits to mold. If you PM your address, I can send you a box full of greeblies and goodies that could help you complete the guns.

Really all of you are amazing!!!, I've never seen so many people wanting to help in such a short time

I really appreciate your help!. The most difficult parts I have to find are the Mig-21 engines for the barrels and now thanks to Krest I think that part will be solved . I will have to make a duplicate of the piece, but the most important thing is to have it. the other part is...well more hard work, but i think i can do it!, but not before failing in the first 3 or 4 attempts

Many thanks for your offer to help!

Thanks you SofaKing01 and Cip73!!.

is a combination between passion and patience  . Well, like the other modelers in this fantastic forum!!

A little update.

Working now on the small details, such as the radiator screws and the front of the "visors"

Sooo... are you going to make it useful as a walk in wardrobe in your bedroom or a fridge in your living room? :D

Did you build it modular for easier transport?

No!, I want it to be functional in order to dominate the world !! XDXD

And yes, is all modular, the base is divided into mosaics of different shapes. I want to put magnets to put them in place.

Some pieces must be placed first than others, since some shapes overlap one on top of the other. The same goes for the interior walls of the "trench" from where the tower rises.

I have also done it this way to be able to paint all the pieces individually

Hey Wulfenray. The MIG has arrived. The mold seems to be a newer revision so the engine seems to be a little more detailed than the original one. (Not sure tough) Still really nice and the right size, but maybe not screen accurate. I think it’s still a really nice part. I’ll post pictures when I’m home.

Hope you still want it. I’ll dm you about the address.

Krest!!, amazing!, yes of course I'm still interested in the piece!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it :)

 Perfect!!!.

I will search for tutorials on how to make a duplicate of a complete piece.

Thanks mate!!!

I'm still working on the little details, waiting for the mig to arrive :

A great idea to have a trench around the tower. It gives the diorama more depth and interest. Great work on scratch building the details.

Thanks you TazMan :).

That was the idea, to give more depth to the tower, and varying a little the design of the tower in the middle module area to break a little with the shape of a single piece that is going narrowed to the tip with a single shape.

These littes rectangles in the separating endures of the tower sections will have a led to add a small touch of light to the tower. These will be on all
four sides of each section

Are you going to build little dioramas into tiny windows? I.e. Tantive IV cockpit section like? The scale you chose IMO begs for additional detail, or at least a few hidden easter eggs.
