Death Star Plans

So I did change the scale a bit. 5.5 x 7 was way too small. I increased it by 1.18 which makes it 6.5x8. This feels much better in the hand and looks better. My guess is the actual one is either this size or just a hair smaller. Depending on how small the actress is.

I guesstimated that her belt is around 2.5 inches thick. Which did bring the plans to around 6.5 wide. So the DS-Plans are much bigger than the hard drives, even more so than I originally thought..

That front view is what makes it look fantastic -- Are the two rings printed as individual parts or is the whole case multi parted --

Either way, its a great job -- are you going to try and do a quick spray application or leave it as is for now --

A quick spray application? I'm not sure I follow.

Yes the parts are separate. That way I can swap them for metal pieces or make it easier to paint.

Anything new on this? Any better reference out there?

Well I think the consensus was that we needed more reference to make sure it’s as accurate as possible. Most people that replied said they would be in for a run once the movie came out and we could see how accurate it was.

Has anyone discovered any new references? It wouldn’t take much to put the kit I built in a mold and do a few casts for those who want a kit sooner than later. If so let me know.

Can you add in the actual plans???

http://screenrant.com/star-wars-rogue-one-death-star-plans/

Maybe make some kind of port to plug in a USB cable to our "Plans" replica that contains all the various plans that will be released through various media, books, etc??????

Not just a slot for a card but some type of storage built in where we can actually plug in a cord or use a included stored cord to connect to our own computers. Maybe something that we can update?????

Than we would have the actual Death Star Plans.

Maybe make a built in plug cord with a USB end but made up to look like the plug plugged into R2 at the end of Star Wars???

A look at in 1/6 scale from HT...
