Take a look at the section 6.7 Mechanical Specifications, which includes an outline drawing for the HD (and a couple others that may even be closer)
that we think this might be made from.

Ok so taking all of the suggestions into account I came up with this design. I feel that I'm fairly close to the screen prop now. There are a few lines that I added based on the flow of the design they are all lines that could be there based on lighting and shadow etc. So I think i'm getting closer.
This design takes the IBM hard drive into account as the inspiration. So if someone handed me a harddrive and said make something cool that looks like this I feel like this would be close to how I would build it, taking into account all the screen grabs we have.

dude, holy crap that looks almost dead on!
The only thing that stands out to m is the difference in the "gap" thickness of the upper ring.

This looks "fan"tastic. We will now probably be disappointed with the real thing. I still have one issue which is based on the way I built the digital scaffolding around the photos and so it may be an issue of perspective and distortion. I am looking for someone to show me my error. When I mark the straight edges of the lower disk. I can then draw parallels lines along the edges of the raised center section I call the read/write head. This I have been calling a "rectangle" perhaps it is more accurately a parallelogram but I still "see" parallel lines. This also makes the top edge of this "parallel" section end before reaching the top disk so there is a clipped off gap This is the only variance I can see with all of the photo evidence thus far.

Can you mock up a picture of what your talking about? I'm having a hard time seeing what you mean. Use a photo editing tool and mark it up in red.

Sorry, but I don't think they are holes. Looking at the footage again they are as reflective as the discs.

bluerealm here is what I am looking to better understand. I drew the two lines along the lower disk and then shifted each one in parallel to itself.

Yes, your last version looks correct to me. It was the version stamped "Screen Shot 09-08-16 at 01.33 PM 001.JPG" which did not look correct to me. You may have made changes or you may have just changed the perspective on the same design. If it was just a change in your angle of presentation then I need to do a little more work on my side to improve my analysis. Thanks for your consideration on this minor point.

One more tough one to go. I took some direction from @olsm and thought about hard drive internals. I did not do any detailed research as I did not want that to bias what the photos were showing me. Like last time my diagram is just to continue the discussion. I do not have any special insight.
