Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

I have sent two contact forms to DeAgostini Germany about a release here, but got no answer yet. Was there ever an official confirmation that they will release it in Germany?

I never thought that I might subscribe to one of these, but reading this thread and seeing the original at Cologne really makes me think about it again...

Cheers,
Thorsten

I got a reply, posted it here in the thread somewhere. Looks like we are going to get the falcon in a few months, just around the movies release.

Trimotor thanks for sharing the pictures and the examples. Not to sound like a jerk, but this has been covered many times and multiple times on this thread.

Ok, reading through this thread from when I was last on here took forever!!

I took the plunge and subscribed during the shipping sale. Looking forward to getting started on this bad boy, but I've only received the first batch so far and I definitely want more of it before jumping in.... wish they'd let us catch up if we wanted.
Both Tony and Envisioned_Image will more than likely be getting my business on Shapeways as well.....

Welcome to the Falconeers! :)

Does anyone know if there's a good source for 3d models of 'more accurate' interior parts like what's being sold already printed on shapeways for those who want to print at home? I have access to a good 3D printer, so if such a source existed I'd be able to print out my own parts for less than the (fairly pricey) cost of getting better-accuracy replacements from shapeways. This may have already been touched on at some point in the topic, admittedly I've only read through ~30 pages of the 85 in this thread. :)

You are correct. But people still think they can get an exact match for a 30+ year old movie prop if only they get the correct paints. I do mostly model railroading and the arguments over "correct" colors can get downright ugly. It can get especially hilarious when people do what Trimotor did with photos of real trains and people get in a tizzy how wrong the colors are.

Exactly! I just bring it up because it's a never ending loop of talking about the same thing. Information is presented, discussed, conclusions are drawn then we start the loop over with the same questions and information. We've already talked about color temperature, lighting, with photos on this thread numerous times. Granted it's hard to read 80+ pages on this thread, but for those of us who have been following it for a while it's the same info being presented over and over and it feels like craziness.

Sorry for resurrecting an old topic, I did not realise this was discussed before. I was just trying to add to the conversation from the previous page about base colours and primer to get the 'right' colour to show that there has to be a compromise as it is almost impossible to get a perfect match. I have removed the post to avoid duplication of the subject.

Trimotor sorry if it seemed that I was picking on you. That was not my intent. It was just an overall venting of the repetitiveness of many duplicate conversations and information, not just yours. I apologize.

It may be repetitive but you gotta admit, he did a pretty good job with those pics. I think that was one of the better examples of how lighting changes the way the color appears on film I've seen in awhile. Great job Trimotor! Keep up the tutorials!

I agree. It was quite descriptive and it wasn't spread out over ten pages.

Just ordered a few items from Shapeways, quality is very good but the order came up INCOMPLETE. I ordered a pair of grilles for the floor and it included only ONE. I will send an email to Shapeways, of course but since this thread is monitored by them thought it would be a good place to inform the issue too. I was going to start the interior but guess it wont happen. I hope the next time I order no issue comes up though.

how do you know this?

The Power of the Force is strong with me.....j/K!

Call it a hunch. I mean there is a lot of customers in this site, makes sense.

They have yet not responded to my email. Guess they will soon. In the meantime I need a grill.....that I paid for.:cry

My Shapeways order just arrived, including replacement grilles for the interior floor. How are people carving out and removing the old floor sections? I'm considering using a dado blade on a table saw.

I got billed for my second shipment last week for Issues 5 thru 8 and my binder. I got my package today and it is only the binder. There are no magazines or Falcon parts. Should I be concerned or do they ship in separate boxes? Should I be expecting another package next week?
