I can't get airsoft in Australia and it's hard to get replicates past customs, so I went local and got these. (not exactly the same model in movie but close, may respray full black)

When I saw the bear skin rug photo it didn't look like leather at all to me. The fabric(especially the red parts) looked too soft.
In the movie photos it looks a lot more like leather. I agree with you. It would be a safe bet that is a substitute of some sort.

Here's a question.....once you're done, would you consider doing these on commission for those of us that simply don't have the ability? I pride myself on getting the best quality gear, and if I can't do it myself, I'm not too proud to admit it and seek out people that have the talent to do it and there are so many people going for this particular suit, so the quality will be out there, so I figured it doesn't hurt to ask / suggest, right?

I believe I may have found the exact fabric used for the deadpool costume. Problem with it is that it's only a two way stretch and could become tricky to work with. What do you guys think of it.

The "exact" fabric is probably a custom blend / creation.

A two way stretch will probably still stretch better than leather I would think.

Yea I agree it's just going to take a lot more attention to my cutting to make sure they match the direction I'll need it to stretch.
