Deadpool movie suit research thread *NEW PICS*

That's the thing. I have no problem paying for quality. I always believe you get what you pay for. This suit, like any other that is going for accuracy and quality, will be expensive too. But will look amazing if done right. For my current Deadpool, I went with 2 wood Bokken. At $10 - $20 each, it's not bad. They're really solid, and I sprayed the blades so you can't tell they're wood. I have them in sheaths on my back. I expect as usual, around Halloween you'll be able to find more options and cheaper, especially the day of or after.

My problem is if I find accurate I usually can't import them.. no air soft, no BB, knives can even be stopped.. some times Australia sucks for cosplaying lol

If you're not going for custom gloves these might do

$T2eC16JHJH8E9qSEUgDTBQJLKqW--w~~60_12.JPG
like $10 on eBay shipped

Or Condor Tactical gloves

$20 or so plus shipping.

So first pic of my belts and pouches has come through, what ya think? I'll probably rough mine up but onsell the extra as is.

1st test run of suit worn (on my leather guy so sizing might be a little off)
Adjustments to be made:
1 Leg strip to match jacket at front and to go horizontally (not angles down)
2 Zips to match areas e.g. black zips on pockets and red zips on sleeves (unless wanted that way)

Re: Aspiring Deadpools, first image of the 2016 film costume has been released.

TestEagle, what are your plans for a mask?

attempt 1 in leather failed (you can't breath in it)
attempt 2 is a different leather with more stretch in it, first trial seems to have gone well.
attempt 3 if required will most likely be a spandex with a leather look.

I'm looking at replacing my current face shell for maybe the new BNE1 face shell.

Re: Aspiring Deadpools, first image of the 2016 film costume has been released.

Do you think this section of the mask could be made of a material that someone can breath through while the rest is leather?

It's entirely possible. I'm gonna try a few things when I get my masks (got 1st attempt and 2nd attempt being sent later today)

What ya think? I've utilized the strap set up to hold loops on holsters to backing, I'm probably cut the top straps down so the look a little cleaner.

Looking pretty rad!
The leather mask has it's advantages. It's color matches the suit, and the eye holes are more intimidating.
I like the cloth mask the best. It just fits better.

I really think the movie mask is a helmet/head shell with the fabric attached/glued on.

Gonna get BNE1's new mask and try get a close matched fabric. The leather one had way to much extra in forehead and around nose mouth, I've destroyed it lol.

Looks pretty good so far :)

I can tell everyone that the suit is not leather...maybe a few pieces, like the pouches.. and there is a face shell...I will eventually get around to making some screen accurate pieces including a face shell.. but this thread is great, so much info :)

Yeah not leather, but leather is giving a pretty good look, I just gotta get my hands on a new face shell and mask (brokering a deal for swords/scabbard and buckle)

Oh it looks awesome :) I should learn how to do leather work..this is making me want to more :)

And yes those bits I will be making some screen accurate ones too..depending if people care about accuracy...since there are people already making them.

Few guys already working on those bits and have working designs and pieces out, you'd probably want to shift them up on your list before market is flooded, Ken's Buckle is good, Randy and Michael have some nice swords/scabbards and Snakepits stuff is pretty good to.

Yeah I don't have the time right now. But they are from screen used files. So as accurate as they get :)
