Greetings…A project was started over a year ago, on a Darth Vader 1:2 scale statue, because I didn’t have room anymore to display my 1:1 scale Vader statue…and the 1:4 scale was nice, but just wanted something bigger, so I commissioned sculptor artist Dan Grumeretz (www.grumeretz.com) to make me one,
Once the masters were finished and molds were made, I decided to make a very small run in order to pay for the huge costs of the project… below are some photos of the build up processs…and the final product…
Its over 40-42 inches tall with stand, and has real cloth inner robes, satin lined outer cape, the chestbox lights up as do the belt boxes and saber blade…it weighs about 25lbs and is exactly HALF SCALE, and in scale with Sideshows Legendary Darth Maul and up and coming Ben Kenobi…half scale statues.
I actually have the 1:2 scale R2D2 90% ready too, which is also in scale…with everything.
Started from scratch since Riddell helmets were only .45, I couldn’t use them as a template

Custom build since the .45 MR saber was too small.
Rough build chestbox, later made hollow to support electronics/leds.
