Ya, I would definitely say left over right. Seeing as that was how Ryu's stunt costume was and the exhibition costume is.

Also, I forgot to mention, the pants I took pictures of had been altered by the previous owner. My other pants have the elastic stirrups in the leg. The guy told me he removed them. I don't think it makes that big a deal though.

I'm 99% sure hat the screen used costumes DID have the stirrups on the pants. I remember reading it somewhere.

I have started the belt pattern, it will be done with more sheets but well, it's just a thin line, it doesn't uses a lot of ink...

Belt pattern is done, I just need to confirm some measures, and if all is correct then I will post here the PDF files.
Here're the measures to confirm:
It has been done with the Eopie pics. If him or Ryu can confirm this or, if it's wrong, say to me the correct measures will be fine

I've still got some more things to do today, so I don't have the time to measure it, but the the shape of it looks right. Tomorrow I'll measure it.
All of this sounds very confusing :wacko Is anyone making a compilation so others can quick refrence patterns, fabrick ect?

Yes they were there. Pretty fat (width-wise) elastic stirrups.

Ya man. I started this thread with the intent of pursuing a screen accurate Maul display for myself, but Eopie and I have both talked about the overwhelming response we have seen. With help from Kaane, we all intend to make this information very easy to navigate. I also plan on doing a detailed tutorial of my own build which will include the cloak. This thread is for research and not really a tutorial or list of materials.

I have received some of them, but I am hoping the really "good" samples come tomorrow or tuesday. I ordered some fabrics that I knew weren't right just to be sure they were wrong. Well, they're wrong! :lol Right now I have some black raw silk (I love this fabric), some different weight linens, and chiffons. Some of the linens look great. I will post some links and pictures when I get a couple more samples.

That's good :lol Tomorrow I will look for all the fabrics (crinckled silk, light linen, heavy linen, cotton pants fabric) If I found the correct silk I will buy it, because I think it's the hardest part to find, if I don't find it then I will buy the cotton fabric for pants, and if not, the linen :lol
Also I will buy the light canvas to do the prototype. Do you know what is cheaper? Canvas or Muslin?
