Darth Malgus Costume W.I.P.

i managed to get some close up recordings of the giant malgus statue at comic con, do you want me to post them on youtube and link them for you?
 
I would love to do a costume of one of the Sith Warriors coming out of the Shuttle from the Decieved Trailer.
 
I lack the work space and the time at the moment. But I have found the lightsaber and the boots I would use. The cloak is easy to come by.
 
I'm helping one of my garrison-mates to make the Sith Acolyte armor (and another with the Jedi Armor). I'll post the frame-by-frame once I pull them off of the videos.
 
I wish they would do an animated movie in the style of these trailers.

That being said, I think an Old Republic Trooper would be fun.
 
Great planning! Hopefully someone does the armor parts in a resin or styrene based form. Was just talking to a friend about what if on Darth Malgus.

Glad to see someone is taking on the task... He's a great looking character :)

By all means please post that up as soon as you start.

I had the notion of buying select pieces of Clone Trooper armor and adapting it over into a Sith Warrior. It hasnt helped that I am currently playing the Beta for SW:The Old Republic. Just looted my lightsaber from a Sith Lords tomb after defeating the guardian spirts in game. Now I want to do a true Sith, red skin color and all and red eyes.
 
Hehe, sith pureblood are cool :)
That said, man sith takes such shortcuts :p looting the saber, construct your own for gods sake xD
 
Well, I have been spending my time... um... researching, yeah, researching the costume from in the beta. However, with the recent updates, it is like playing a PS3 game on an Atari.

So, I am back into planning for this. It is looking like the midnight release will be 22nd of November. I am wary about this date, but it is what I was told from Gamestop. So, I have to get my nose to the grindstone. Not just on this costume, but also on the Sith Acolyte and Jedi Armor for two of my Garrisonmates. So, look for my coming on the third day... wait, wrong genre. I mean, look for more pics and stuff SOON™.
 
I am leary about the date as well. They announced that they were going to be canceling this run of the Beta early due to some major issues. Personally I dont think they are going to make the 2011 release projection.
 
Well, I'll at least hold out hope for Holiday 2011. Otherwise, I have a troop tomorrow and will be working on drafting out a sketch of the armor on Sunday.
 
It is now official, right out of the Ronto's mouth! The date for the release is now the date I have to finish this project by...

Lol I was almost right they squeeked it in right before the new year. Not sure how the game is going to do. I have noticed that they rework most of the questing zones and added another instance in the Beta. It also seems like the leveling is more fluid than before with better drops but the graphics are still not up to par and the classes are unbalanced.

Any updates? :) This looked pretty darn interesting. I believe there is another guy in the 501st working on a version from the Trailer as well..
