Yeah... what I do is let people request certain sizes (since i have the time to do it), i just resize the files, and post a download for it as well.
But like you said, you're very busy, and cant do that.
I understand.
hi mike ahm i would like to ask how can i resize my work ...
First,
I salute you darkside for everything you've done with your builds. These files are a privilege, not a right. And that goes for everyone who helped take the time to make my suit happen.
Second,
Making my suit happen is taking longer than I thought. That being said, any advice on how to speed things up in the pepping stage? Taking forever and am willing to pay someone to cut while im at work.
And cut faster isn't the advice I have in mind. Already crossed that bridge![]()

I think you need to scale it by the percentage, not by adjusting the lengths of you height, width and length. That's probably why you're getting weird proportions because when you change the size of one side, the two other sides remain their original size. I'm not sure if this is the problem you're facing, but I hope this helpedhey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out
so far I've built the bottom half of this armor, but when I start working on the forearm and entering my scale -the model seems to be off scale - I'm 5'5 so I'm entering 280 mm in height for the lower forearm but for some reason the width of the armor ends being 272 mm (10 inch) - I dont think the lower forearm is that wide. Am I not measuring correctly or is it something else?
Thank You

Spectacular files! However, they have for some reason been removed. Anyone else having this problem? :confused
Thanks! I cant wait to get started on this build for Halloween, haha
I´m posting just to state for all to see that -
A) These files ARE better than advertised. MUCH better than you guys can imagine.
B) I am in debt with Darkside, for even though they were down, he kindly sent them over to me via e-mail, and now I can move on with the build I´ve gotta do. Mike, I owe you big time! Thank you very much!
And C) Did I even BEGIN to tell you how AWESOME this creation of Mike´s is? Seriously, if one wants to make the Mark VII, THIS is the way to go. I made mine all by eyeballing it, but now I feel as if I´m taking the game to a WHOLE new level!
Thanks for your appreciation. I use gel control super glue to assemble my parts. It is fast drying and allows just enough time to align the edges correctly. I don't know of anyone that would cut out your suit for you while you work, but if you are gonna pay someone to cut for you then you could just not go to work and cut it yourself, j/k. See more advice listed below.
Close but the Craft Robo and the Silhouette SD have been discontinued. You might still find a used on on ebay now and then but I recommend the new Silhouette Cameo! In case you don't know what these machines are, they are cutters. They take a vector image and cut it out of vinyl, cardstock, and many other materials. The new machine is faster, quieter, and can now cut 12" wide in case you also want to do large vinyl graphics and/or banners. As I mentioned above, I helped to get the Pep Viewer for Cameo program off the ground. This program take the PDO file and sends all the cutting info directly to the Cameo. There are a couple of tricks to get it working at 100% so if you go that route let me know and I can offer more assistance.
I just might get the silhouette cameo with my next check on wed. Watched the link. Very fast. Now that I have a 4 day weekend i wish i asked sooner:cry
I'll let u know when i get it set up. also, do i need to actually buy pep designer?
You now what, i'll do it anyway so i can save my files.
I don't think you are correct. I have never gotten the results you are saying. If you set the height then the length and width also change to maintain the correct proportions of the 3D model.
It sounds like he is setting the height on the part to be too tall. As a result the width is also too tall. With a height of 280mm the scale is like 47 which is way too big. I would suggest using the measurement tool. Right-click in the 2D window and at the bottom of the pop-up menu select the measurement tool. At a scale of 23 the lower forearm is just over 7 inches long (not including the missile pod part. At the widest point it is 4.5 inches wide (not including the missile pod). This works well for me and I am also 5'5".
Part of the problem may also be that the part is not presented vertical so the 'height' of the part is actually the depth (from the inside of the forearm to the outside of the missile pod) and the depth is actually the height or length of the forearm. Also keep in mind that the forearm is a 2-part assembly. So the upper forearm will add to the height/length of the lower forearm to cover more of your arm. Hope that helps.
ps - i don't know how you got 272mm for the depth if the height is 280mm... the depth should have been 250mm. If it is possible to adjust only one axis then I would like to know how cause that could help to solve some fitment issues for really short, tall, or bulky people.
