Please read the OP. This has been discussed already. You need to send Dark side a PM requesting the password.

Hello Darkside, hello guys,

happy eastern from germany.

Finished the helmet (cutting and gluing) last week and put the first coat resin on.

I got 3 questions:

1. The helmt fits straight with my ears. Is that ok ?
Is there enough space for electronics (faceblade, eyes) and pad

2. The resin smells very strong. its a cheap one from the hardware store
i applied the resin outside, cause of the smell.

3. and my last question: Does the SILHOUETTE PORTRAIT also work with pepakura?? its 100 Euro cheaper than the CAMEO.

Here pics of the helmet and my workshop.

We can't really answer #1 for you. If you had a pic of you wearing the helmet then we might be able to tell you if it looks too big. If you are saying that you can slip the helmet on over your head without detaching part of the back of the helmet then it is too big.

Fiberglass resin is a strong chemical and you should be working in a well ventalated area or outside and you should also be wearing clothes that cover your body (pants, long sleeves, and gloves) as well as a respirator.

The Silhouette Portrait doesn't yet work with the Tamasoft software. You would have to export the files as a vector format (DXF). See my tutorials here:
http://sdrv.ms/13LhHIe

It is a longer process but it is possible to cut with the Portrait.

WOW! That 3D models is wicked! I'm sure the V2 files will be worth the wait :D

Thanks. Glad you like it... wait till you see the final render.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files **Update Jan 3, 2013**

The back is finished so I took some pictures with brace, neck, shoulder, back, chest, and helmet. It begins to look awesome!

The size is good! That's a relief. Next step, the flaps, then the legs.
