Daredevil suit ideas and help ( need help regarding leather/bodysuit)

Hey everyone. I have a lot of red leather that would be the perfect color for a daredevil suit, the thing is though ,the pieces are all on the small side .So I'm thinking of either sewing the leather "panels" onto a body suit ( preferably a red suit, though black is an option..) or sewing them together along the edge using a stretchy red material.

this action figure has a suit made of 2 types of fabric and is close to what I mind

I was wondering has anyone had any experience with making a suit like that?or any suggestions ,thoughts or ideas?

thank you for the help and replies!

So right there you're lookin' at the Mezco 1/12th Daredevil figure. I think you could also look at the Sideshow Daredevil, it seems to be somewhat in tune with what you're lookin' for. It's modernized-classic, basically. You got the classic red with DD but it looks more practical and realistic, with different panels and stuff. Maybe more in tune with your smaller leather panels, too! The Mezco is half the size, the torso piece is just one big stretchy shirt, whereas the Sideshow suit is more panel-y and detailed! :)

I also found this 1/4th scale statue, which also has a modernized-classic look with a harness and different fabrics and panels and stuff! Hope that helps. Would love to see where your build goes!
