Can someone clear up a question of mine regarding this?

I have seen this jacket on Ebay for sale, Buy It Now; Danny even confirmed so earlier in this thread; so, I must ask, what is the difference between the two? If you ordered from Danny here vs Ebay, apart from the 10% off zipper?

Just curious.

Yes,that's the jacket. I am getting a few small modifications plus the personalization (no zipper, no valve etc) but if you're not a perfectionist like me, it's essentially the same.

I asked him about it and he responded with the following:

My jacket is not based on the one being sold on eBay, since this is a design from my leather maker I'm pretty sure he's just another seller, but I got a better deal for the community.

I hope he posts to clear it up. If I recall what I read, Danny, here in this thread, gave an estimate of around 350 with 20 shipping; around the 375 area, while the Ebay jacket sells for a firm 400 with 50 shipping. If they are, more-or-less, the same jacket, then it only makes sense to buy from here then, coupled along with the zipper discount.

But, is that still true, or has the price gone up?

Pm's replied! To your questions: I did help design it as an exchange for a partnership including exclusive new jackets and vests and a better deal for the RPF. My jackets however are made with a bit more detail. For example, the sides' pattern on the one of the pic are the wrong way. Those and other minor details are details that I check myself for the jackets people order here (since on eBay most people won't really care for that degree of accuracy). The real difference, however, is the price. I believe it's over 75 dlls cheaper to get one through me. However, to get that price I make the jackets in runs, which is why it might take more time than with the other seller. To be honest I don't know if the other seller has a stock or not but I rather be clear on this so you guys can take the right decision.

He's been great to work with so far. It's tough balancing wanting updates about hopefully getting everything before the end of the month and not pestering the poor guy.

sooo.....one would suspect, yeah, but this poor guy is slammed with orders. From what I've observed on this thread, what a lot of folks do to communicate with Danny is to ping him ith a PM then post mention said PM here in the thread, @Zenman :thumbsup

Speaking of which, I PMed him about a tracking number for my spats. He indicated that he's hoping to ship out jackets this week yet.

I'll say it again, Danny has been great to work with so far. Totally swamped (how many different runs does he have going?!??), so I get if he's not super active around here with updates, but he'll totally answer questions when asked.

Are you doing a run now? I am seriously interested now, I believe.

I wouldn't need it by any time frame, but can you quote me as accurately as possible, for everything, zipper included? (I'd like mine without the zipper, loose).

As some of you know, I'm located in Mexico and the hurricane Patricia will be affecting my area and therefore, the shipments. I know that you are not to blame for this, that's why I shipped almost every jacket now through UPS instead of the regular shipping service to have the best chances of avoiding delays. It is definitely more expensive but I'm doing everything in my power so you have your jackets on time. I'm absorbing all extra costs generated with this upgrade, however, if you feel like sending me something to buy me a beer, that would be super nice of you! However that's definitely not required, your jackets are already on their way to you guys.
