Howdy, folks!!
So, I've got my blaster thread, my lightsaber thread, and I know there are a couple Macrobinocular threads out there, as well, but from now on I'll be putting all my other projects here, that aren't gun or laser sword related.
To start off, I've been slowly working on a Vibro-Axe. It's not the most accurate thing, and I've modeled and printed some of the parts myself.
I always regretted not building one of these all those years ago, when Boba Debt did his "Active Project", so several months ago, I began collecting reference and parts for this.
Got myself a Supermax, Soft-Flow Soaker, toy Han blaster and hose adaptor, and some 1" OD PVC pipe.
Yesterday I modeled some parts, and today I printed them! Here's a few pics. These first few were taken several months ago, before I had a more accurate hose adaptor. I cut too much material away from the Han blaster part, so I'll add some styrene to the sides a little later on down the road.
And these pics are from today.
.
The giant Phillips screw was a fun one to model, it's two pieces, and I shaped the curved bottom by hand, then it's screwed into the hairdryer and the pipe, and the cap pops into that.
The "Vader Rod" is printed parts assembled on a brass tube, and the other "plumbing" parts are assembled on the usual chopped-up air canisters and some other bits of metal tubing.
I'll need to tackle the blade, soon, and I'm not sure about the electrical cord. I've been looking at corrugated pond tubing and the like, but I'm not totally sure what I'm gonna use, yet.
I know it's all been discussed in the past, it's just been so long, I'm not sure what info is accurate, anymore, and I don't recall the "grip" areas being nailed down definitively. Anyone know?
Anyhow, more progress as I get the time to work on this one, and thanks for looking!
