Bump !
Lets hope these will be affordable...hope so...
And Kevin , can you please tell more or less the kind of Diaries you have? I mean...just covers , inside pages ...?
I've just finished the back cover of the Daily Prophet from the first film.
I shall now finish off the inside pages.
As shown earlier in this thread, I have the Daily Prophet from Philosopher's Stone (now almost completed). This is a front and back cover and the print to go on the reverse of those pages (i.e. four pages in total). This is as the original prop.
I also have the Daily Prophets from Prisoner of Azkaban, being "Escape from Azkaban" and "Sirius Sighted". These are covers only. I also have the top 2/3 of the Weasley's in Egypt paper. I am undecided whether to just tear the bottom edge of this one to simulate one which has been kept as a souvenir by Ron, or to make up the rest of the text to fit around the large ornate capital letter and distinctive sub-heading that is visible on the bottom of the page.
I am about half way through the cover of the paper from Chamber of Secrets, too.
The eagle-eyed amongst you might notice that every page has been slightly enhanced and improved since my last post. The back of the Philosopher's Stone Prophet is now complete. The clues to the crossword were made easier because there are only a few of them and they are repeated. The rest of the copy on the inside I shall have to invent. I simply don't have enough good reference, but I'm confident that the rest of it is accurate (including all the original spelling mistakes and badly patched blocks of copy).
When I finish the inside of the first Prophet, I'll start a thread in the junkyard along with threads for my wizard candy, Monster Book of Monsters pages, Gringotts deposit slips, werewolf pages, etc.
