All of you maje a really great job, but it is a pity not to share it with other fans of Harry Potter :( congrats anyway ^^

Here's my Daily Prophets that I have completed so-far...

I am looking into printing some for me and a friend so any spare may be available in the junkyard at some point in the future...

Love the Dumbledore one---I am interested xD

Well I thought I'd start a new thread to cover my progress on these babies.
These are the ones I've made most progress with.
Philosopher's Stone - front and back.

Goblet of Fire - front only

For those who saw the sneak peak a couple of weeks ago, I have now finished the ornate masthead. :wacko (oh, my eyes). It's featured on DPs in the first three films so I shall get some use out of it with a couple of Azkaban covers I have started.

The text is all accurate. I really need to spend some more time trying to identify the bit inside the "Keep your noses out" spiral. If anybody knows the font for the ornate capital letters I'd be very grateful. I assumed it would be Dover clip art, but I've bought "ornamental initials" book and they aren't there.
The back page is a ***** because my reference photo isn't so good. The bold text is exactly right, the paler text is a placeholder.

The GoF cover is tough because it has a lot of much smaller text. I know I have the top seven lines of text in exactly the right place. I need to check my references to see how much tweaking the rest needs.

If anybody can help me out with some detailed shots I shall be very grateful.

Oh yes, final note: the images are intentionally blurred and they have my logo ghosted over them to protect all the work I have done so far. I have a sense of humour failure when my work is sold on eBay by someone else.
Wow they are amazing great job YOU ROCK !!

All completely accurate except the bottom 1/4 of page 3. I have several key words in that bit that I know which has allowed me to make an educated guess at which block of text has been repeated there. There's a good chance I've got it totally accurate.

Remember that all of the text is accurate to the prop which includes all the peculiarities of their pasted blocks of copy. For example; "accidentally dented ntally a muggle vehicle vehicle this flying on his g on his broom."

See what I mean?

So, is there an FS thread starting soon?

I know it would yellow really fast, but it would be sweet to get these on actual newsprint stock. Actually, the yellowing may help the overall look.

I just need to get a hold of some mailing tubes and we're good to go.

At the moment I am printing these on 80gsm paper. Newsprint is 60gsm (I think). I'm happy with the paper I'm using. It also won't yellow as quickly as real newsprint. I have been trying to source newsprint but I've had no luck. If anybody in the UK can point me at a supplier I would happily offer that as an option.

Kevin, I don't know about the UK but in the US you can go to the Newspaper company and buy End Rolls for about $5. They are the last 40 or 70 feet of the roll that they don't use on the press and I cut the paper to size for my printer, 13" x 19" and print them. They come out pretty good.

thomas;)

Nice find Tif. I don't know how long Viking have been selling this. I only just bought the 90gsm A2 paper from them because my account contact told me they don't sell newsprint!

Yes, A2 is the correct size. Thanks.

If you were trying to print what was posted, yes, the file size is so small that they will look ugly. To my knowledge, the hi-res versions are not available for download and the hi-quality printed versions are not yet offered for sale. Patience. :)

Just found all the prophets today. So impressive- they are all amazing! So much work. If you ever offer them for sale, I'ld be interested.
