I swear my dad used to have a case just like it to hold all of his drill bits, nuts and bolts, etc.

I am with you there. I think it's still out in the garage, and held different size ratchets and bits.

Cookies.

(Remember that, but don't know brand. Was quite common and available during that time I heard. Never got them myself though)

Cheers and a wonderful Christmas season and my best wishes for the new year to everyone on this board!

Could only find this small pic on the internet if it helps

This should be in the main Replica Props forum. That's were prop research is typically discussed.
I'll try and grab a HD screen cap of it.

I would swear that the piece that Yoda nibbles on and Luke tosses away is a Chick-O-Stick.

LOL I remember thinking the same thing...lol
Having done alot of W.W.2 k-rations and Vietnam C-rats and LRRP Rations I would to have one of these in my collection :rolleyes

Just saw this on Spike this Christmas Eve, and I can tell you from memory that the outside appears to be a Diamond Case with steel hinges. I don't remember the interior.

"Crunchy peanut butter and toasted coconut candy"

Where's the chicken? I was hoping for a stick 'o chicken, that's false advertising! :lol

"Looks like a modified granola bar"

LMAO! Sorry Gino........just the thought of modifying a granola bar is too funny. :)

Blue box, silver diamond plate lid, clear interior dividers.
Seems to be all plastic.

Looking at the bottom 2 pix it appears that the whole box was clear and the bottom was painted blue and the diamond plate was glued or taped to the top.

Look at the edges on both the interior and the lid.
