Damn, he must be monitoring his video constantly. I commented and within 10 minutes he deleted it.

Here's what I posted. Was it that bad? I thought I was just offering helpful criticism. :lol

"Dude, is that cardboard? The yellow fiberglass resin drips, are they suppose to be sloppy like that? I suppose you can write that off as alien splatter though. Also I'd use some type of paint for the weathering as magic marker is pretty obvious up close. You should also try to keep each section straight when you assemble it or it might break off at the slightest bump. Wow, I need to buy ink for my printer if you're selling those things for the same price as the licensed resin WETA replicas. Cool"

Mine was along the same lines. I gave my opinion on it, but offered suggestions on how he could improve it, and he retailiated with a couple rude coments. Oh well, it doesn't really hurt my feelings.

I actually feel kind of bad as his hometown is only 3 1/2 hours from me. Not a great rep for my state. I preemptively blocked him before commenting. I'm not sure how blocking works though. If it prevents a person from accessing a users homepage, then my blocking him will prevent him from blocking me. :lol

No, it just stops him from being able to post any kind of comment on your videos or page. It also stops him from being able to give you positive or negative marks.

This has been a most enjoyable thread except for the suggestions of violent acts. Now if something bad should happen to this guy, we all know where to look. I think the most appropriate punishment for this guy would be to cover him in paper and pour resin over him! :) oops...did I say that?

And TA-DA instant Fiberglass human! Quick, how much do they sell manikins for? :lol

Cheers,
-John-

I actually did something similar, I made a soft foam mannequin and covered it in fiberglass. (at least that's what I told the authorities...:angel)

I left a comment on his 2nd attempt video simply suggesting he use better lighting and that you couldn't see the gun in the gloom.

It's not there, I have to assume he deleted. :C I didn't say anything about the product- you couldn't see it!

He won't use good lighting because if he did, it would show exactly the type of craftsmanship that MrBungle's did and that wouldn't be conducive to good sells.

Why not start a rip off thread on Youtube starting with this one. Show clips or what ever that is needed, and anyone who gets ripped off here can post on...

On his ebay listing:
An EXACT replica of the guns used in Neill Blomkamp's District 9, designed by me and based on the actual props created by the artists and craftspeople that made the actual guns for the movie.

He must not know what "exact replica" means.
Cuz when i attempt to make an "exact replica" I dont "design" it, or "base" it off of something, i try to "replicate" it...

And this listing link i saw, is that a new one that he sold another of these POJ to somone?

I just rewatched the video and knowing the harder details, I cant stop from looking for the defects and cringing when he says "alien guts or slime" when hes trying to cover up shoddy resin work...

The worst part is it wouldn't be that much of a step to make a gun in this way, mold it, and then cast resin pieces to assemble a quality replica. Then he could justify charging what he does and he'd build a good reputation.

I learned a long time ago that it's better to just not make the money than ruin your reputation with crap work.
