Bad Propmaker at it again

Well, the condition is listed as acceptable...unfortunately for $500 the term "acceptable" is debatable. Acceptable to whom? The seller?

Why would someone buy this when you can buy a much better licensed version for the same amount? They must be crazy and uninformed...
 
hmmm why would i pay 500 for a prop like that when i can spend alittle less on a replica made be weta?
 
i just wonder about the tape he has on the new one?? is that screen accurate?? LOL

Wood was made from pulpar wood I believe is the right name not sure if I spelled it right, I bought the wood from home depot so it is clean, it took about a month just to get the wood sawed up and sanded, I even wet sanded the areas I could so it is ultra smooth.

and what happened to the big sci fi contract this kid had? why sell pep guns on ebay if you got the dream contract?

I just got this lovely message from Symbiote-x on ebay:
Tell all your RPF *** boys to try to make a better arc gun replica than this one and then ask them how much they think it is worth. The time and labor it takes to produce on of these is worth well over 500.00 but do I ask for that no because I know I cant get that, and you all ***** and say " I will just buy one of weta's guns" and they have been sold out of those for along time so goodluck getting ahold of one.

That dude is a clown. One day someone is gonna punch him in the face. They would beat him with his own gun but it is to cheaply made and would fall apart while it was being swung.
 
Yeah lets see if he takes it.. you people have no lives good god, still downing peoples creations but what I would love to see is someone here that can make one better for the price he offers.

this is his friend steve, I watched him work on it for weeks so please try finding a better complete one for the price and when you do THEN you have a reason to complain about "why is he selling that replica for that price thats way too high" weta sold their guns for 500.00 and they are all sold out he has his auction set as a best offer meaning he doesn't expect to get the title price for the gun.
 
Steve, you have to understand why I believe you are the one making these. Almost every post you have since you came on board is nothing but you coming to his defense. He's a big boy. Why doesn't he come here and defend his work himself?
As far as Weta's rifle goes, it's accurate, sturdy and high quality work (I own one!). You can't compare "his" work to Weta's. plus, they have the license.
I can appreciate the amount of work that went into your, um, HIS piece, but let's face it. The quality simply does not justify 500.00. Your argument of "Wet's rifle is all sold out and nobody else makes them, so it's worth 500.00" simply does not hold up. I'm sure I can speak for the majority of the RPF when I say that we want quality pieces or we would rather do without.

And yeah, your arc generator sucks and your price is a rip off. You know it, we know it, only a few poor suckers on ebay don't know it.
 
Its not a matter of price, but reputation, and representation.
First impressions are often the most critical.
What is the first impression you think we have based on all that has happened so far?

The item is being touted as a finished prop replica.
Again, looking at the previous thread linked and the "expose" video that is now gone but most of us have seen, we see that the previous work was not up to par with the "percieved and implied" quality. Would this work be any different? There is nothing for us to consider that is any different than the first time.

WETA has proven that their product is a finished viable prop, they have high rez photos and testimonies from satisfied customers who WE KNOW here.

Does this prop have anything like that at all, besides a low res youtube and some "ebay quality" pictures?

As far as the "best offer" part goes, this link is the third incarnation of this auction to day on this EXACT item. The first was pulled, and it was a buy it now and minimum price regular auction.
The second was a auction with "best offer". That was pulled shortly before it ended and HAD a best offer.

If your "freind" was so willing to sell for "best offer" then why is this the third listing of the same prop? Why didnt it sell for the last "best offer" was given?

Fool us once, shame on you, fool us twice shame on us?

haha ok lets see you do a better one oh wait your like everyone else that talks alot of smack and has nothing to back up your words, his price is 425.00 or best offer meaning the price will go lower, yes of course the weta gun is great and all but THEY ARE SOLD OUT he isnt trying to compete with weta he was trying to make a replica arc gun and he did a damn good job of it the thing is heavy and solid and has great detail and paint. I will tell him to make an account when I see him next.
