Feeling damn lucky to have got this into the UK before the ban, here are some pics of the 'CS&T All-Metal 'WorldCon' Blaster'.

Quick summary verdict:

• It's heavy!
• It looks (to me) like the real-deal!
• It outclasses my previous PKD a million times over.

Full write-up later on http://propsummit.com/

Enjoy!... (See notes)

General 'scuffage' on Weaver knob done by me (delivered black). :)

No 'Bell wire' visible - didn't want it (wouldn't be seen in a real firearm)

Awesome. I cant wait for mine to get here. I was on the fence about the exposed wire, but i decided to leave it exposed, just because its like that on the actual prop.

Wow! Fantastic pics!
For the "worn steel" looking areas like the upper receiver, trigger guard, buttplate, is that the tone of the metal is it was delivered?
Or did you do anything to it?

Re: CS&T All-Metal 'WorldCon' Blade Runner Blaster

Shiny!

Woops, wrong movie.... :lol

That looks great to me, the bolt/barrel looks almost milspec "Parkerized"...

Nice piece of work :thumbsup

I look forward to your review. Will you include comparison photos to the original? I'm eager to see how well Rich's model captures the "feel" of the original prop.

The prop looks great! Congratulations!

I see a problem with it.....you knew someone would say that before too long....and the problem is, I don't have one! Seriously, that is AWESOME!!!!! I am very jealous!

That's the holy grail. Remember?

We're not there yet, which is something I can't fathom at all, because the information needed to make it right has been staring us in the face for how long now?

Re: CS&T All-Metal 'WorldCon' Blade Runner Blaster

Not digging the mould lines on the front of it which I wouldn't expect on a prop this expensive.

Eagle said he opted out of the white wire, the only thing that looks 'off' for me is that the paintwork doesn't look glossy enough compared to the pic of the original. But I can't see anything glaringly wrong, looks pretty damn good to me. :)

That's a very fine piece, Commander.Just a couple of observations - by no means an attack at such a fine build!I'd want the seams seamless too. The trigger guard still needs a little work, the barrel is slightly too long and the grips are a little off here and there. But hey - I'm a detail addict!

Yup. :)

It should be noted that I don't collect replicas of props. I collect "real-world" representations of props i.e. how it would be in the real world if it actually existed. Shiny plastic? Nein danke. Bell wire on the cylinder cover? Nein danke.

As Rich has mentioned elsewhere, he endeavoured to keep the same flaws that were in the original in this replica too. If I want to, I have the option to 'perfect' the piece if I wish.

I know he has his detractors but Rich has 'done a man's job' here in my opinion. I'm completely happy with it. :thumbsup
