I found a photo of my Great Grandfather on the LIFE image search!!
He sunk a German U-Boat in WWII and captured it's crew. He was the first person in WWII to be awarded the Navy Cross.

Luckily I have a few of the LIFE magazines he was in.

You can go diving off the coast and see the U-Boat he sunk.
