CONAN THE BARBARIAN (1982) Replica of the Thulsa Doom Guard dagger

A few days ago I uploaded some photos of the original Thulsa Doom Guardians dagger.

Today I can show the images of the replica that I have made during these days.

In the images you can see the manufacture of the silicone mold and finally the polyurethane resin replica.

It is slow and laborious work but I think it paid off.

And you used plaster for the counter mold?

You are right, silicone can stick to leather, so you should cover the leather with a plastic wrap that adapts well to the details of the leather. In this way the silicone does not stick. If you are making a mold out of a leather object, the plastic wrap used in the kitchen to cover food can help.
Yes, for the counter mold I have used a plaster called in Spanish "escayola", this plaster counter mold is very necessary because it gives fixation to the silicone mold and makes it not deformed.
