Conan the Barbarian (1982) screen accurate chainmail

For the last months I have been recreating that iconic chainmail armor that Arnold wears in his epic Conan the barbarian movie.
I used the same type of Lamex Ultra chainmail the propmakers did back in the days, and I think it shows.
Besides that I used thick 3.5mm leather to make it as sturdy as possible, and I could not be more happy with the result.
Sooner or later I will do the rest of the costume, but for now I need a break...

Kickass work dog brother, any chance you'd be willing to divulge how you did it? Or are you willing to sell it? I'm the one Howard family member that goes to REH days every year, and I legitimately would love to be able to cosplay this there.

Thanks! I have not weighted this beast as the leg parts are still missing. But it is rather light compared to steel mails as it is mainly aluminium.

Hi there! And thanks! I wrote how I did it in my post. I made it like the prop by using Lamex Ultra chainmail. And no, it is not for sale. You would not want to pay for all the hours that went into it anyway - lol.
