COMPLETED "4 year old" (edit) not so Shiny Boba Fett armor & Jet Pack & Bucket

Re: "4 year old" Shiny Boba Fett armor & Jet Pack & Bucket sculpt W.I.P.

This is all really cool. I just have one thing I'd like to point out: I'm not normally one to be all "Kids need to be kept away from danger" or anything like that, but is it really a good idea to give a kid a prop with a sharp metal rod in it? Even if it is covered in foam, it's still a sharp metal rod and if it got pushed into the foam it could get pushed out. That's all I'm saying. Other than that, totally awesome.

Re: "4 year old" Shiny Boba Fett armor & Jet Pack & Bucket sculpt W.I.P.

I appreciate your concern but trust me with the amount of force it took for me to shove the rod into place I dont think it will be a prob. besides the glue is helping that fact as well My son is very well behaved so I'm not expecting him to roll around or go diving onto the ground jet pack first... the probability of his stabing himself with the rob is unlikely... Note this jet pack allong with the rest of his kit is in his room on a shelf in reach of him he does not touch them because he a good kid. now him taking it and stabbing some other kid! now there some potential...

I'll make sure to get pics!

i don't think you should made it battle scarred. It looked better before hand IMO

Boba's helmet is supposed to be scratched up.

Boba's helmet is supposed to be scratched up.

I know that but he said this armor is "shiny" as in - not battle scarred. he even said - he won't be battle scarring the costume. So the helmet...doesn't match now.

You are correct. But The kid asked why it wasnt finished last week I replied wit hit is finished I just have to complete your suit. He said No Dad I mean the colors arent all messed up. So I said ok you would like it be battle damaged and scratched up he said Yes! So last night I presented him his completed Bucket & he LOVED it! the best response I've gotten so far and he even kept it by his side all night so I will be changing the title of this thread... :lol

Wow. That kiddo's gonna be the star this Halloween.

Damn, I now feel like I'm neglecting my child by not being this cool.

LOL! Don't be like that, I'm sure your busy or something, I "being a single parent with limited time with him" Spoil him rotten every moment I have him.

As for him being a star, Me and some of My other friends said if we trooped with him hes still going to get all the attention!

Excellent job! Spoil away says I!

Our kids are going to be "geeks" in the making OR require therapy by the time they get to their teens!

Nice job! It is always fun making costumes for our munchkins. Hopefully he won't at the last minute say, "I don't want to be Boba Fett! I now want to be a Clone Trooper!"

(Mine said that about not wanting to be Wilderness Explorer Russell for Halloween and now wants to be Captain Jack Sparrow, Jr.:eek)

Thanks guys!

Last year I made him a Transforming Megatron Tank! @ the last minute he said he wanted to be Optimus Prime... So I got him one of those cheap costumes from WAllMart and he was Happy so I dressed his friend up in the Megatron costume and they Trooped together.
