It's ok. I really cant spell that well all the time so if you catch something say so I don't mind.
I've got some foam cut out for the Bucket and I'm going to start gluing it together probably tonight after I finish the Jet pack... "witch is friging cool!"
Very very cool. The thick foam is a great idea. I used the foamies idea from someone on this board. It works but I think your idea is superior.
The thick foam will allow him to really play in it. I bet once he runs around for a bit and leaps over the couch and under the coffee table the armor will show some natural "weathering!"
Looking forward to more progress picks. Thanks very much for sharing.
OK! I'm far enough into the Jet pack to post some pics...
I've had so much fun building this!
Again taking the things around me and using them to my advantage...
Gluing some stuff...
Trimmed off tubes and capped off. Also capped tops with sculpted foam toppers...
Put this top thing in...
Then I put the Directional thrusters, stabilizing gyro & missile targeting range finder...
Using $ store foam foot balls...
Then I took a metal rod and filed it sharp and shoved it through the Missile so it would be sturdy.
And after all is said and done...
a Miniature Jet pack...
I'm going to give this a few coats of a caulking wash "just a mixture of water, elmers glue & silicone caulking" to fill in any gaps and give a strong shell.
Now you used just that "elmers glue all"? How solid is it?
I might want to make some Army of Two shoulder pads...do you think it will hold up for a costume worn by an adult for hours on end and for a month of use?
