Hi guys! Just got my sonic today, and I LOVE IT. IT IS JUST GREAT. I got it out, and i saw immediately that the new metal claws are superb. they are accurate to at t. I've played with it for about two hours, and now it flicks like butter. The other emitters are just great and add a great variety of effects. I ordered a non marbled emitter, and even that has a swirl pattern in it. so easy to switch the emitters, just twist and pull. the copper has a brushed finish and it looks great, but i might have to go over the aluminium bits with some polish, as they are a bit black. for me, there are only two cons, which are completely trivial. There are a few nicks on the claws, probably due to the filing, and also the claws aren't at quite the right angle once flicked, but I can live with that.
overall, Beyond happy with it, I really love it. Kursosawa has done a bloody good job. Photos soon!
Now I get the feeling that The Doctor will be using it a lot next saturday, breaking into a bank and all...

Do you plan on offering these for a while? I don't have the funds for one right now, but come income tax time I'll be able to set some aside. So I'm definitely interested, but it may be a while before I can get one...

hey gene, quick suggestion, would it be more practical to hold in the claws with tiny bolts and knuts, as iv'e had to super glue on the brackets to keep one from falling out...

Bolts would work but personally I find them rather unattractive.
I have received my order from the waterjet cutters, which was the big hold up for a number of oustanding screwdriver orders, Now for a long weekend of sanding and filling. Pics to come soon.
On another note, if anyone wants a screwdriver at a discounted price, let me know. The only catch is that it has no display stand. PM me for details

Added images and pricing for the deluxe conversion to the first post. If you wish to order a sonic and receive it by christmas, now is the time, still plenty of time to spare, but just in case.
