Hello everyone:
Hear are some images of my Viper from the reissued Revell kit. Some are inprocess shots. Hope you enjoy them. -JohnLogan

Just a couple more, I've just about completed with the Viper. A little more weathering and the stand for batteries and a switch for the lighting.:cool

Well CLERVAL, in all I like the kit. For an old designed kit it's not to bad. I did change it form raised panel lines to scribed. And from what I could find it looks like there were three different burner can parts over the years. The last being the version I have, that are so you can light them. I did change the back plate to a scratchbuild part. The general detail and fit are good. I like how you can turn the pilots head. But the cockpit sucks. In all I might get myself another one and do it up prototypical.

Cool... I've been thinking about picking one up, mostly out of curiosity, bu it seems to me like it could be a bit of a renovation project... I actually think I'd end up removing a fair bit of detail, simplifying a lot of surface detail in favor of really tightening up the areas around the cowlings, rear of the fuselage, etc...

While surfing the web, doing image hunting. I run accross someone who had removed all the the little panels, square and triangular bits, and just smoothed out so there was no panel lines. It looked pretty awsome. I was tempted to go that route.
