Take one tiger, and then run with it.

Hello everyone,
well I came across a tiger lurking in my model room and so what do you do when faced with a tiger you run with it, or build a model around it. I went with the model option and used up some of my boxes of old bits to make something new.
Tiger One, Terrain Investigating Ground exploring Rover, a three man new planet mission vehicle, equipped with a smaller roving buggy and crane, for taking samples of the new worlds. This is just a small break from my next model build for the film and sci fi museum located in Milton Keynes in England, which if all goes well will be the Endurance from the film Interstellar.
The tiger has been sitting waiting for me to get going for a while, now its out of its cage and getting some attention.

here are a few images. regards Barrie ( the old guy who keeps tigers in his house ) PICA0207.jpgPICA0204.jpgPICA0196.jpgPICA0172.jpgPICA0171.jpgPICA0170.jpgPICA0169.jpgPICA0166.jpg

Looking forward to seeing what you do with it! I was in Milton Keynes a few years ago to visit the National Museum of Computing, which was an amazing experience. Spent the whole day there walking about slack-jawed with awe. Next time I'll set aside time to go to the Film and Sci Fi museum.

Hello mr lanboy,
here are a few more images of that running tiger, I hope you do get chance to get to the museum, I was down last June and was in meltdown at the amount of items on display, I also got chance to see my large scale models fully painted (painting not my strong point ) and hanging in the ceiling. When I complete a model for the museum I just finish them in grey or white primer, the curator has his friend Matt Irvine paint the large scale sulaco model from the film aliens, it looked great after only seeing it in white plastic sheet then primer. The tiger will be painted by myself in the coming week or so, I hope I can get a good finish. I envy many of the people on this forum who have such great talent for painting models and bringing them to life.

Hello every one,
here are a few more update images of the tiger rover. The small buggy is now done plus the crane. All I have to do now is make it look like its been on a few missions to other worlds.

Thank you mr analyzer, here are some new images of the rover its only just got back to the station after a 3 week survey across the planet surface on lv429, there are no aliens on board yet,. A great model to build and it has freed up a bit of storage space for my kits parts for builds in the future. Now I have to concentrate on the large model build of the endurance from interstellar film for the film and sci fi museum in Milton Keynes.
glad you liked the model, which is very heavy by the way.

regards Barrie ( the old guy with time bits and still a passion for model making )
