Cobra Commander (Krake)...Upgrade Help?

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake)...Upgrades in Progress...

My son took a pic with you @ Baltimore. Loved the costume!
:thumbsup Thanks, I won't be making it out next year :(

Hopefully I can get a location where they have another major convention.:cool
I'm going to wear this till the wheels fall off!

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake)...Upgrades in Progress...

Hey guys, just gauging your opinions on how I should tackle this armor.

I was thinking of two ways of doing this:

1. I tore a shirt's sleeves off and would place cardboard templates over it for flexibility

2. Or create a whole set from cardboard.

My only questions are what is the easiest way to go about creating the look and feel over cardboard pieces?
What materials should I be using?
Will this work with a sleeveless shirt?

Hopefully someone can chime in, I'm going for durability and comfort!

Hi there. AWESOME Cobra Commander costume! I just happened upon this thread by going a Google search. I'm working on a Cobra Commander helmet and I was wondering how you got your face plate to be such an awesome silver color? What did you use to do that? Where can I find the same material/treatment? Can you see through easily? Thanks!

also, dont pay that stupid price, I got mine for around $50 a few years ago from lightinabox.com shipping took about 3 weeks

Painting the clothes with fabric paint is a GENIUS idea!! Ive always wondered if that would work!

Depending on the material you may get mixed results.:facepalm

Luckily I think it turned out well! I was going for a tactical look with regal colors...

Good to hear! would you say your suit now has a rubbery feel to it or did it soak in enough to maintain a cloth material feel if you dont mind me asking?

Pants are definitely heavier on the rubbery feel...:unsure

The shirt didn't require nearly as much fabric paint to give it a even color.

Hello,

I was bored and performing some minor fixes to my outfit. Just got these to insure a uniform color throughout!

I am taking a shot at getting my outfit approved by the Cobra's Finest:cool

They also added a guideline for CC and a few characters if anyone is interested!:thumbsup

Knowing is half the battle!

Nice, I love that version, the Mp7 is a sick sidearm!

Hyper is making some tweaks to my helmet ATM, he did a fantastic job!
Don't forget to post your's up when you get a chance, would love to see it.

Soooo....I got the Rothco's, and have the helmet back as well. Not sure how I can integrate the kneepads into these rothcos:?

Don't worry. Funding for this project will be on hold for quite some time! No wonderflex armor for awhile :(
