Cobra Commander (Krake)...Upgrade Help?

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake) Build...

AMAZING costume!!! Got me inspired to start making my own Cobra Commander costume. Think I will head down this path...

That's funny, I was looking at the exact same coat for another CC project I was doing in the past...:cool

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake) Build...

I got something in today! I'll post pics with the complete ensemble sans armor.

Now I have to figure out how to pad and coat the inside to fit snugly! :lol

Yes!!!!!

That is awesome! How's the visibility?

Pretty good! :cool
Like looking through a tinted window. I installed some velcro stickers and padding to the inside.

Also can't find my computer fan:confused May have to purchase a fan, but my budget is tight!

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake) Build...

HaHa I love the pose with the Fist in the air,the Classic Cobra Commander pose, hope you get that armor soon I reallly want to see the whole costume together, and yes I admit I forgot to open up the vents on the helmet, but its really not that hard to make them functional, just needs a Dremel and a steady hand, the fan will do wonders

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake) Build...

Daniel will be shipping this very soon! We're in the home stretch.

I've purchased some straps for the arm pouch and also ordered a latex Cobra emblem for the chest.

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake) Build...

Well after some extensive research I recalled a certain movie that used the dual holsters Cobra Commander has. Plus 100 internets to whoever knows that movie!

I bought it off Ebay....

Re: Cobra Commander (Krake) Build...

Here we go!!

I just want to thank everyone that has helped out on this build thus far:thumbsup
Especially Hperballistik for stepping in when he saw that things were going badly and for referring Daniel to work on the armor.:thumbsup

I will be making some adjustments.
I need to add a full helmet padding to the helmet so it can sit higher on my head or make the armor sit lower on my shoulders :confused At this stage I am quite amateur and wouldn't want to ruin anything.

I need to attach the Cobra emblem, dual holsters, and re-sew the cape (The clasp is too tight now with the armor).

Hopefully I can figure out a way to get the armor and belt to line up better. I was thinking of hot gluing some straps to the armor and clipping them to the belt :confused

Either way this will be at Baltimore Comic-Con on Sept. 9th, my first convention!

OK, I did some more test fitting sans helmet and gearI added foam to my collar to help it "pop".

My biggest issue right now is the cape. The neckline on it is way too short to fit around the armor.

Castor Troy from Face Off?

(y)cool

That's right Dracos, obviously these types of holsters aren't very common, the one's that CC uses even less so, they cross over like handcuffs.

Also just got this in:

And added some helmet liner to my helmet with industrial strength velcro... "illegal leopard!" Liner.

If anyone can think of how to modify the cape properly so it drapes over like a Roman soldiers please let me know :confused...I've already resewn this twice and couldn't think of a CLEAN fix...

Ya, it looks amazing, I agree it looked off but it looks like you solved it.
