Cobra Commander: Faceplate

As the title suggests, I am in the midst of replicating the Sideshow Cobra Commander, BUT I am in a quandary when it comes to the faceplate. I have searched high and low and whie I have found some thing that may be suitable by way of chromed visors, I am leery on the dimensions as they are not usually stated.

SO! Commanders on the RPF who have completed their mission in acquiring such a faceplate, what did you use for it? Visor, scratch build, vacformed, sourced out? Let me know that I can follow up. Post images, links, anything that can aid me in tracking down something of my own.

Thanks Monty! I have one of these and sadly it is too small to fit properly. The sides are too shallow to reach around properly.
