Limited Run CLOSED: Kylo Ren CNC aluminium ultra accurate Saber

GeneralFROSTY - if we have blade plugs with our kit, would you include them in your finishing process?

And is anyone still looking at a run of metal blade plugs? I'd love for my saber to be all metal, if possible.

Apologies. I missed that statement.

One follow-up question: If I would have to go with the Shapeways plugs (assuming metal plugs never happen, or don't happen in time), would you have a preference regarding the color of plastic the plugs are made of? White, black or metallic?

I'm not sure yet. It'll involve a little more work because they need painted a certain way before the red goes on.

Is it too late to make a small revision? I noticed this after Frosty posted his paint-up:

The powers that be said that some details on the first prototype were too shallow after polishing and they were going to revise the fine details with the machine shop. I would stay tuned, seemed like they were talking about stuff like that. The little minute things.

real fakes; Zahc is right, this was one of the details that got lost in polishing.

D-day, in case you didn't get me put down for a red wire & shipping to GeneralFROSTY for painting, that's what I'm interested in for my kit. Also, GeneralFROSTY, are we supposed to go ahead and fill out the online order form now, even though we're still waiting on the run to be completed? Just want to be sure I'm doing what I need to do when I need to. Lol!:cool

This is exactly how I have you setup.

Also for everyone, I"m working on providing the blue wires as well. I have some coming in hopefully soon that matches. It's hard to tell with lighting but it looks right.

This will be included in the cost. I've already had to deal with so many extras and this only cost me a few bucks. So it was easier to just buy it and deal with it, because it would only end up being a few cents per person.... which wasn't really worth it to ask for :D

Most are submitting the form now. Keep in mind that if you're getting a belt clip, there will be an additional charge for painting and mounting it.

Thanks for the info GeneralFROSTY! I submitted my form this morning. Hopefully you got my form OK. Any way you can confirm you received it? Just want to be sure I'm all set. I've contacted Luke regarding a saber clip, but doubt I'll have one in time for you to paint & install for me, so I'll probably have to do that myself before sending it off to my sabersmith for the electronics install. Hope you can confirm you got my form. I sent it between 9-9:30am EST this morning. Thanks in advance.:cool

I really like how prop shop painted there saber. I especially like the blue heat marks on the quillons.

With that paint job and and some saber plugs. I think we still have the best Kylo saber to date. Not to mention ours will be funtional!

I am working on a display box for mine (once it's finished) already. Just bought a nice exotic hardwood board (Ribon Sapele), have a design that is pretty wicked in mind. Now to practice on some plywood to make sure I don't muck it up.
