Oooh....I never thought of THAT potential! What if Asohka falls?! The problem there is I suspect if Anakin had a student who fell becuase his teaching was a little unorthodox, that he might keep better control over himself than RotS requires him to for HIS fall.

I thought so too. Kind of a shame that she didn't because it would have made for a good ending for her character.

Guys, no way they kill her off. She is character gold for Lucas Film/Disney. Dave Filloni is hearing from parents and little kids how much they love her character, he's not going to off her. And she can survive Order 66, they can do anything they want on the creative side, it's their show.

To be fair to them, I think they've done a good job making her an interesting character. I hated that character when I saw the original movie. I thought she was going to be the Clone War's Jar Jar.

With some of the story 'seeds' they have already shown I wonder if Asoka will eventually leave the Jedi- either for love or after a huge fight between her and the Jedi about how the Jedi do business.

To be fair to them, I think they've done a good job making her an interesting character. I hated that character when I saw the original movie. I thought she was going to be the Clone War's Jar Jar.

Absolutely. I couldn't stand her in the movie (calling Anakin "Sky Guy," etc.). Just awful. But she's been developed into an interesting and very likeable character by the writers.

I'm hoping she eventually graduates and gets her own apprentice and disappears. If she's killed I'm going to hate it.

They definitely have, she's become quite the badass now with the 2 lightsabers and all. She also managed to hold her own, at least for a while, against Grievous and that's not something that many Jedi can say, I think only Obi-Wan and Anakin have fought Grievous previously and lived to tell. They just need to tweak her model some, those massive eyes of hers are just way too distracting to me.

its got to be hard to balance the cartoon. we older fans want it to be more serious but the little kids that watch Cartoon network have to be entertained as well... I just hope the jump to Disney XD next season doesn't influence the direction of it to more of a kiddie show. Not that it already isn't but as a fan they will lose me if the bulk of the episodes go the way this episode did.

They are already well into production of season 6 and have been for some time prior to the acquisition announcement so it's unlikely that will have any influence of the story direction.

that's good to know. hopefully, Disney will just let Filoni and staff do what they do best and stay hands off like the films.

Not sure why a show with humor in it and/or likable characters automatically gets pegged as a "kid's episode". I am not a kid but I found it humorous and enjoyable.

Yeah, I am more inclined to say cynical, crabby adults. :lol

I don't think I was being cynical in my feelings that it was a bit too kiddy this time around.
I enjoyed it for what it was and it was fun. I'm a big fan but the hipster yet silly bumbling WAC-47 was a bit too ostentatious... a droid with an ego, too much ambition and overly enthusiastic seemed misplaced. That is more for a living being to me! droids should be of reason not emotion. but he grew as a character and indeed became the respected hero he hoped to be and same with Colonel Meebur Gascon (of which I actually found refreshing as a character and he became an experienced war hero having won a battle to add to his credit and character) but the overall story was most definitely not on the level of any of the Clone story arcs or the death watch mando stories. I'm sure after all the carnage from the Darth Maul story arc they needed to lighten up and tone it down a while for the youngsters. Again, I don't mind a kiddie show every now and then... I just don't want it to go that way too often! it was cool to see astromechs interacting and working together. I'm all for that as I've built one as member of the R2 Builder's club.

They have a story arc coming and it sounds like a good one.

I enjoy the Clone centric episodes well enough but I like the fact the show doesn't simply fixate on that aspect of this war.

that's the great thing about a chronicled series... you can delve deeper into individual characters or focus more attention on smaller individual events that reveal something about the character. technician Dr. Gubacher that provided special modifications to the droids reminded me of Major Arnold Toht in the way he talked!

It was a pretty decent episode but it did have on fatal flaw in it, wouldn't the Separatists know that the chip was stolen and as a result wouldn't they then create a new chip with a different encryption? I mean, that's why we were went to such great efforts to conceal the fact that we had broken the Enigma and could read German codes and the same for the Japanese during WW II. For the droid's mission to have been a real success they should destroyed the ship they stole the chip from in order to cover up the fact that they stole the chip.
