Big thanks to Matsuo for offering these. There was some minor clean-up around the seam-lines, & filling of a few (VERY few) tiny air-bubbles. Since the replicas were made from black resin, most (if not all) of the painting on these were to provide weathering & some other detals. The finish comes from wet-sanding followed by application of black-colored car polish.

Anyway - - - not without incident:

Equilibrium is one of my favorite "frequent watch" films. :cool :cool :cool

Wow, really great job on the Cleric guns Nexus. I really can't wait to receive my set.
How did you fill in the letters on the mag plate?

Thanks!

The back end of a White Crayola crayon. I just rubbed it in all different directions until coverage in the lettering was consistent, wiped off the excess with a paper towel, then sealed it with some Future floor polish.

Wow, they look fantastic! :):thumbsup

You polished the color on?
No, the guns are constructed from black resin. All I did was wet-sand using 600 - 800 grit sandpaper, then apply several coats of black Turtle Wax car polish to the whole thing(s) to get a nice consistent color that is sort of glossy (in certain spots). Afterward I hit the rub-points with a VERY light touch of silver rub'n'buff to give it a more convincing illusion of metal construction.

I got the aluminum-powdered version, that's why I was a little confused... :lol

Thanks for sharing!

Yup, figured that out not long after. Was distracted by the pictures *.*
PM Matsuo. Last I heard, he wasn't offering them; but he could have started making them again & I just don't know about it...

Can't hurt to ask him...

Thanks! Will do. Thanks for posting all the pictures. Even if I'm not able to get one myself, it's still cool to see. Great replica
