Class Project: Burn Victim (Anakin)

Second project for my Advanced Makeup class, this time it’s in collaboration with the paramedic department of our school. I got to choose my project and as soon as I heard burn victim was an option, I knew what I had to do.

This time around I didn’t know the actor or have a head cast to work from. I went in my storage and grabbed a mannequin head, it has 23” head so close enough to a sculpt to work from in my opinion.

So today I grabbed some clay and got to work. Here are the results.

Yesterday was the big day for the paramedic simulation event held at my college. First round I wasn’t entirely satisfied. First actor had to take an actual hospital trip, second one was no show. After losing 45 minutes waiting, I got my previous partner as my actor, which is great for both of us since he is also a big Star Wars fan and new what I was aiming for. Definitely wanted to blend the bald cap better but time was up, it’s show time and this is what we had.

Luckily we had about 7 minutes between 7 rounds of groups of paramedics to touch up or rather improve on the makeup.

He survived, but don’t tell him about padme.

By round 6 and 7 I had pretty much got it to a level I’m definitely proud of.

This truly was a great event and glad I was a part of it.
