Seconding Pantone 202, that's a really great red.

I did hook and eyes to keep the jacket attached to the corset. At one point I considered magnets but too much effort and the hook and eyes aren't noticeable so it works. It was a little awkward making a jacket that purposefully doesn't fit to close around the front, but I think it would have looked too baggy if it did.
 
So, long story short, I pulled my coat out of the suit bag in July for photos of the finished costume and found it had black spots all over it of what I am assuming is mold. The corset is fine, jewelry is fine, but I trashed the coat and gloves so this project for me, is over. I'm going to live vicariously through all of ya'lls great costumes until I get mine commissioned in February as I don't have the heart to remake it myself.
