1. "Hobbyland" in Columbus Ohio is no more. Been moved from Graceland for several years and did not last at new location on N.High St.
2. "Barber Pole Hobbies" in Sayre, PA is not on the list. Looks run down from the outside but inside they have a huge selection. Owner (Loren) is a good dude and there is community of builders you'll see just hanging out. Primarily plastic, of all genres, some train stuff, large selection of model rockets too. If he doesn't have it, the owner is willing to ask his vendors if they can get it. Been in business over 30 years. Called Barber Shop because his Dad and Grandad both worked as barbers out of there but apparently the talent skips every third generation.
3. There is another hobby shop run out of a garage just up the street from #2. but I can't remember the name.
4. "Webster NY, outside of Rochester has "Performance Hobbies" the whole back half of the store is mostly plastic models of all genres. A lot of RC cars and planes. They also have airsoft.
5. "Auto Models LLC" in South Greensburg, PA have good size selection of plastic in a lot of genres. Probably one of the larger selections in PA of Gundam. Nice owners.
6. "Wolf Games and Models" in Massillon, OH. Formerly Wheels, Wings, and Water. Larger selection of plastic. Vintage armor/aircraft. Gaming and supplies. Huge paint department!
I know I went to the Graceland location for I think 2 decades.Wow to #1! I was just at Hobbyland spring of 2023. I didn't need anything but picked up the 14" Space 1999 Eagle to throw them some business (and it was an easy carry-on size for my flight). I used to live in Columbus from 1985 to 1990 and visited them in Graceland weekly. Lots of kits bought from over those 5-years. That's sad to hear.
5. Really?! I've driven past a few dozen times and never thought to stop in not much for car models. I'll have to give it a whirl next trip to Greensburg.1. "Hobbyland" in Columbus Ohio is no more. Been moved from Graceland for several years and did not last at new location on N.High St.
